K, so can we just talk about cabal biology.
Im going to look into psions later but by cabal I mean the ol' space rhinos.
So unlike the fallen it doesnt seem we need to make assumptions or theorize alot just look at real life examples. This sounds dumb but rhinos. Leathery skin warm blooded and show ivory horns. Why did i mention ivory horns? Its simple biology my dear Watson. Female Cabal have tusks.
Conclusion : Cabal are basically bipedal rhinos with different hand and feet structures.
Just my thoughts. Idk if you guys ever think of this stuff. I do.

And visually besides the skin they really don't resemble Rhinos. To me they look more like a Walrus or a Manatee with a dash of Naked Mole Rat.

They then integrated the Barfa with select species until they came up with something that remotely resembled Cabal... so if you're interested in the Cabal's physiology, I would recommend reading up on the Barfa integration on 3/20 beta echo around 2234 by Xeno-Biologist Xerxzu Smith.

First of all the psions are not the same species as the rest of the Cabal. They are an enslaved race. Secondly, Rhino horns are not ivory, they are made of keratin, the same thing that makes up hair. The rest of your conjecture is fine.
