10 RepliesYes because this game (marketed for 4 years as a ‘fireteam’ game) should have more solo options for players who pay 0 attention to all the marketing saying ‘this is not a solo players game but buy it anyway so you can complain how it’s not a solo players game -_-

7 RepliesEdited by Quick-Sneak: 12/5/2017 1:50:06 AMI have 3 maxed characters and all the raid weapons bar the shotgun. Didn't enter the raid once and achieved everything solo. If anything, D2 caters too much to solo players.

And optional raid matchmaking
-
6 RepliesOther than Nightfall, raid, and Trials you should be able to solo everything. Not sure what you're asking for in PVP...Rumble? Private matches? I did a few Nightfalls in D1 other than that my Destiny experience is strictly solo. I have been able to get my characters full level/light in both without any "endgame" content. Random matchmaking for Nightfall would be nice, I understand it could be a problem in raids. I'll never do Trials. I only know of the Destiny community from these forums. So you can see why I stay strictly solo. There doesn't seem like a lot of helpful chill people that would be patient with mistakes. I will not be yelled at by some little kid that thinks he's superior because he's good at video games. I may start a clan that requires your stats be worse than mine. If you suck bad at this game you're in!! LOL! That way you can't bitch at me when I make a mistake and I won't bitch at you. 🤔 Clan name will be "The Unsalted" 🤣

"We don't serve your kind (solo players) around here, dude. Get friends, or get bent. Stick with PvE, we've got plenty of shiny tokens for you." -- Bungie

2 RepliesWait solo-players exist in D2?
-
10 RepliesEdited by Inclement Karma: 12/5/2017 2:44:54 PMNo. You give us solo players a bad name by whining to have an easy button. Stop it. If you don’t like matching against fireteams in PVP, watch the roster during matching and quit if you need to. It’s easy, works almost all the time, and doesn’t screw your teammates. As for end game like the raid or Trials or timed Nightfall, you need to learn to accept the consequences of your actions. Playing solo in a multiplayer game is a choice; asking that the game be adjusted to fit your personal play style is childish. Edit: predictive text fail.
-
Maybe they’ll do that next. I miss solo play too.
-
1 ReplyThey are actually. Not everything you ask for, but you will have the ability to do strikes with solo que and it will scale back the enemies. Pvp is multiplayer. Ie player vs player. Nothing to do with that. Bungie has already tried a solo player que in d1 and the number of players that used it was too small.
-
>tfw solo players are still a thing in D2
-
Get some friendgame brah!
-
Events/quests requiring fireteams are annoying. Yes, the raid needs them, but the rest of the activities could all easily be through matchmaking. There are many of us in the community that do not feel like "socializing" at the end of a day filled with dealing with people.
-
Edited by joey big guns: 12/5/2017 5:29:49 PMEnd game level content is already available. Are PEs in public zones too much contact with digital characters that other people are controlling? Raids require teams or Warlocks. Hasn’t changed nor should it. Want end game loot, run the end game with a team. No one says you have to make friends. You’re using them for loot and they’re using you for it too. Also, Bungie did say that D2 was designed with more emphasis on a “team”.
-
Like that will ever happen.
-
They have already. If your in a active clan that completes activities you get 4 free engrams a week, max light endgame loot.
-
1 ReplyThis is a PVE game trying to be a PVP game being balanced as a bowl of chicken noodles with sand and ocean water, so in other words they can’t get the actual core of the game to work right, good luck getting a true solo system.
-
1 ReplyEdited by MajorCrabs: 12/5/2017 6:28:37 AMI really dont understand why people are so resistant to this. I mean you're not asking for them to cut the social aspects out of the game. What you are proposing wouldn't even effect the clan crowd at all, but for some reason they would rather this game stay strictly a social game instead of providing inclusiveness for all sorts of gamers. A games longevity is in part how long the population sticks around. Cleaving off a good percentage of the population because you want it to remain exclusive just cuts the longevity at the knees.

Yes rumble please

1 ReplyAs a mostly solo player. This thread makes me sad. Very over yourselves if you want everything handed to you I you leave the game
-
-
No focus on group play... play a solo game if you want a game tailored to solo players...
-
Nothing in this game screams it was designed for solo players. Its a team and clan based loot shooter
-
Solo/casual/kid players ruined this game. Stay away or find a group
-
Bungie hates you and thinks this idea is stupid.
-
Everyone is solo until they group. You are playing a game designed for, and optimised for, group play - you don't even 'need' to Raid to do end game (or even to hit max light). At this point, if you are unable/unwilling to get together with other players, the fault is yours, not Bungie's

Edited by RPColten: 12/5/2017 8:48:33 AM, but the game does support solo-players. It's just that those players will be at a slight disadvantage if they choose not to socialize in a social-game. This just comes off as catering to an audience that the product was not designed for. While it's ultimately harmless and would probably be beneficial, I just think it would be time that is wasted in development hours.
