Destiny 2 is the Harrison Bergeron version of Destiny. The Handicapper General over saw and approved the weapon roles and mod system as well as the token system replacement of the rank system. All desirable wares previously obtained directly by increasing rank or completing activities were moved to a store front because well like any incompetent govt agency continued funding is not optional.

all this hype over a public event not shaming op but...there really is nothing to do in d2. its a public event they are fun the first few times and then you're like maybe ill get an exotic so whatever.

Public events in D1 were a cool little diversion, albeit one that was under-explored. In D2, because of the batshit-bonkers loot system that means a PE rewards more than a raid (or other activity) and the fact you can see them on the map, public events have in effect become the main event. Because, despite the direction that Bungie are taking Destiny, people still play it for the loot primarily and so now they just grind public events. Not the story, people play for the loot.

Lol this is the funniest thing yet. Look two chests! Same chit rewards. It's like my boss dividing my same pay into two checks and acting like it's amazing. So glad I didn't buy the DLC early.
