Iron Banner for D2 has been a disappointment.
The token system makes it so that it's harder to get rewards you actually want. You need 20 of them just to level up. You no longer get Iron banner rewards from post game.
After opening 10 packages you only receive a stupid emblem as a milestone reward! WTF is that!! I say we deserve more rewards to make up for this total waste of time.

1 ReplyThe entire token system is unrewarding and void of fun or enjoyment. There are too many things which worked well in D1 that have been removed or changed for the worse in D2. That being said there's a bunch of stuff in D2 which is great compared to D1. Bungie should be smart enough to know what makes a game enjoyable.

9 RepliesI know i'm alone, but my biggest complaint is the double kill challenge. If we all fought like it was the 17th century no problem, bit i'm lucky if i can find two enemies close enough together half the time. It is the only challenge i can't consistently do in two matches or less. But giving us the full loot pool (except maybe the 4 power weapons) and then adding straight rng with wins counting 250% more than a loss was just bad. I got lucky and have all the weapons after 23 packages, but yeah armor is not happening this week. And letting us see exactly how many tries we've had with the emblem doesn't help.

Bungie ruined iron banner, and seriously what is with the constant duplicate drops from engrams, my last 7 have been either the iron banner side arm or sub machine gun every time. Pure stupidity from bungie. Altogether between about 20 engrams across two characters I have got 1 pair of gauntlets and the rest was duplicate weapons.

19 packages and not one helmet, arms, or cloak.... yeah but i mean 6 pairs of the same boots and 3 chest pieces, that's great. not like i have a full time job and a kid, no big deal i can just grind this for days, wait i can't it's gone in two days. Thanks bungie

1 ReplyI have turned in 45+ packages at this point. No titan helmet. No pulse rifle. The pulse rifle being the only thing I really wanted. I have gotten only smgs and scout rifles. This loot system is a joke.

Nothing new to add to this post that hasn't been said. This is the most frustrating shit. Bungie will change it and we'll think they did something good for their players, but it's just an illusion. They knew this was a shit system. There is no way after 3 years of Destiny they don't know how to make it playable. They're -blam!-ing robbing us. You know it. I know it. They'll make it enjoyable just in time for destiny 3 to come out, then pretend they forgot how to make a good game again. I love getting swindled. Go -blam!- yourself Bunghole

IB was the only time I really played the crucible so this was truly disappointing. Not to mention I’m rank 22 on my warlock and still no boots or scout rifle and 0 drops for my titan and hunter

This sounds nice, 22 packages in, all i've been trying to get the armor. i've gotten 2 helmets 2-3 chests, 2 legs. Everything else was weapon dupes and non faction stuff.

I guess I'm in the minority and like the tokens as well as the Iron Banner without the power/assists on gear. I tried IB in D1 and didn't play it very long as I realized I wouldn't be able to get the exotic weapons as well as higher light level that I was usually matched up against. The tokens aren't too bad, but I have turned in 46 packages on my Hunter and have yet to receive the helmet. I had waited until 30 packages to get the cloak, so when it finally popped up I was super excited about it. Most of my issues are the same as other people... why am I getting random items vs. IB items dropped at the end of a match? Why am I getting duplicates of almost every IB item (except the helmet?!?) Overall I like Destiny 2, better than D1.

Idk what bungie loves about emblems? Like yeah ok some are cool but that's not what I fkn want. They serve no purpose. They give you nothing. It's like, do you want us to design more guns and armor and cool perks or emblems? Then they decide for us and make more emblems. Wtf.

3 RepliesThere are a buttload of critical IB posts, I'm going to borrow this one. Firstly, I skipped IB this time for reasons cited in various posts by the community. IB needs a differentiator. It needs to continue building on the lore from ROI. (Bungie should probably come out and apologize for the lore issues). It needs to feel separate from the Quick Play playlist. From what I can see it's not much different. My suggestion: Bring back 6v6 for IB only. A lot of community members have been down on the 4v4 set up and have been asking for a 6v6 config. Iron Banner being the once a month event would be the perfect place to make those people happy. The maps are big enough for 6v6, I think they should do it. Furthermore, IB could bring additional variations vs previous PVP such as faster abilities, not mayhem fast but D1 fast. This also would allow Bungie to experiment with play styles and make things more long term via playlists etc in future updates. Hopefully someone with influence on the game sees this post in the sea of similar complaints and becomes inspired to implement something similar or at least have the discussion in team meetings. What do you all think? Bring back the 6v6 for IB only? "Salad Dan's 6v6 event!"

6 RepliesTopics like this make me laugh. People criticize the game has no depth, no grind and nothing to work for because everything is handed to you. Then Iron Banana comes around and we're back to of a more RNG based system on loot and people criticize it. You're all headless chickens with no discernible complaint and then you wonder why Bungie doesn't respond to such inane bullshit?
