Iron Banner for D2 has been a disappointment.
The token system makes it so that it's harder to get rewards you actually want. You need 20 of them just to level up. You no longer get Iron banner rewards from post game.
After opening 10 packages you only receive a stupid emblem as a milestone reward! WTF is that!! I say we deserve more rewards to make up for this total waste of time.

Previously to iB I was looking for a reason to like this game. I kept thinking "nah it's not that bad. People are just over reacting." I played IB and it really got to me. It made me realize the current state destiny is in and such a huge disappointment. Once you see it. You can't unsee it.

15 RepliesWouldn’t have minded playing to 10 packages if after that Saladin then had all items available for purchase so you could grab what you’re missing. Even if it was 10 tokens per item, at least you could force yourself through a few more games knowing you were going to then buy what you wanted.

it's funny because the title was so low-key by comparison... iron banner has always, always been a headache (lag, mismatches, joining mostly games in progress, etc.). what seems to be missing from this experience is a meaningful sense of reward. in D1 iron banner had specific, achievable goals (the loot on display and, during a brief period in the days before HoW dropped, one of the only available ways to get lvl 30 boots to drop). now, there's no guarantee that you'll get the armor, and there are plenty of other ways to hit max level. there's pretty much no reason to endure the headache.

Trying to finally get the arms to complete the armour set last night, no luck. I did get dumped into a loosing match, almost every match I played last night, against full fire-teams that had stomped the previous players into quitting however. That sure was fun.

4 RepliesI tell you... my hands are shaking of anger right now. I need to concentrate not to break my xbox controller in two (symbolic, I never would do that). I need to open the vent now in the Forum... I don't think the Token System is bad. But in Iron Banner it seams they have the wrong numbers typed in. To sumerise Iron Banner: - We can collect Gear which we don't know its seasonal and never will be able to get it again (feel presured to get all right now, to not miss the window) - The gear is only estetic. No cool perk, no set bonus - It drops 10 lvl lower than current gear - Post Gear is not worth looking at -> insta-dismantel - I get the same two weapons and armor piece over and over again (remember Destiny 1? It was only two pieces anyway) - No progression feeling. I feel the same after opening 1 package like opening my 12 package - Cool Saladin Speech (yea something positive) - Cool Music which changes over time (again someting positive) - Matches are always well balanced - It feels like Destiny 1 vanilla - The Cryptarch is wearing a Lord Saladin Mask and is giving us tons of low Level blues I don't know the magic formula so that it's great to play (except how it was in Destiny 1. It was great). But I guess I would be ok knowing "ah for the complette Set I need 40 packages. And the rare Iron Banner Ghost needs an 100 to 0 Win). Who knew RNG is the End Game...

Because I'm not an entitled little baby that comes to the forums every 3 seconds to cry like a little school girl about everything that isn't how I want it to be because the world revolves around me. Totally agree, total waste of time!! Bungie have ruined IB, token system is a joke! Dupes are a joke, and why oh why are we getting none IB gear for our hard earned tokens??????

I dislike how the drops are significantly lower on power rank. In D1 the drops would actually help improve it.

Even me, a total pvp hater ranked up to lvl 15 by packages received in hope to get only the hunter helmet, but all i got from IB armor was 1 crappy cloak! 1 cloak, so, 1 IB armor out of 15 packages! That's just pathetic. Got all guns, with only scout missing, but not even happy with them, as it seems that they not only reskins all together, but even worse than the ones they got their skin from.

Lol, 30 engrams on just my hunter looking for the freaking mask...nope. 12 cloaks, sure. 3-5 pieces each of all the other gear? Absolutely. But NOT ONE HELMET. Done with this garbage

This is by far the worst PvP experience I have ever had in any video game. 4v4 is boring, every game goes to time limit, I get team shot every god damn game, I have to use certain weapons to even compete, and don’t even get me started on the rewards.

All I get is guns and it's the same guns over and over so I get shards oh and don't forget that wonderful vanguard armor. I'm not going to lie it sucks and it's frustrating. The loot system is clearly broken and for those who post I played my 10 and got the full set and some nice weapons plus had fun. Well good for you it's also another example of how broken the system is as you barely had to play and got all the rewards. However I'm glad you were spared the frustration :)
