Add in an ice element
actually through out destiny 1 we only saw 3 elements in D2 we need new elements like ice burn on energy weapons and ice subclasses or wind or any onther kind that will be cool

I was hoping the cold heart exotic was going to start this off.....but unfortunately they said it's "cold laser beam" won't freeze enemies...

7 RepliesUnlikely to happen, since the subclasses are based on sources of Light (sun/solar, electricity/arc, gravitational singularities/void). Since ice is simply frozen water, it's basically unrelated to sources of light. I suppose something like plasma, radiation, or nuclear could be another form of Light?? However, solar light is probably covers that area. I'd have to look it up, but I believe that the sun and stars produce light based off of a nuclear reaction of sorts.

If you want a new element then start by thinking from the developers point of view that have to put this together without coming up with stupid ideas i'd rather have a primal element a chaotic mix of arc - solar & void so it would give a bass start for a dark guardian

Yea Gearbox did that in Borderlands The Pre Sequel because they have actual sense, and actually will go to the trouble of making a game THEY would want to play which ironically is a mantra that is on the front of Bungies building in Seattle.

That would be cool (excuse the pun). I always liked cold damage since Diablo 2 ice sorc to warframes frost. I also like the woman in borderlands TPS (aurilia?).

Something that works like Borderland's slag or cryo would actually be pretty interesting.

1 ReplyHow would it work, all the subclasses pretty much depend on explosions of some type or other that are energy based. Ice would be good for 1 thing only trapping people. Shooting ice cicles at people would only do kinetic damage unless you have some ability that makes it so cold that an enemy freezes solid in an instant. I mean that would work as a super, but grenades and melee? I would rather stick with classes that can make things go boom, big glorious explosions.

Unless they add powers beyond Light (Arc, Solar, Void/lack of light) then I doubt we'll see that. I'm all for adding more, always better than taking away...
