I WANT TO SAY THIS WAS A INJUSTICE. she did not physcially kill him. this is a attack on free speech i dont care who disagrees .
In my other post I mentioned massechuestts does not have a suicide coercion law which if it did they would have charged her with. this is why the strange charge of involuntary manslaughter was given.
I made a post about the girl who coerced her boyfriend into suicide several days ago. the judge found her guilty for anyone curious about the outcome of the case.
she had a legal responsiblity to call the police or for help when she knew he was in the truck filled with carbon monoxide poisoning according to the judge but some debate this..
they did not find she was the direct cause of the death i believe the judge said. or could not prove it but she still is guilty of involuntary manslaughter because she did not call for help. and her actions put him in that situation to begin with this is according to the judge's interpertation.
she knew he had a history of suicide attempts and still told him to get back in the f--- ing truck.
thoughts on this?
so it was not only her words but her inaction to get help that was grounds for the verdict of guilty. the debate is still in whether she had a legal obligation to help.
they are going to be charging her as a juvinelle i believe the judge said. she was 17 at the time of the suicide.
I would like to add that at one point he wanted her to take her life with him. so both individuals where really messed up in the head.
she has been known to be suicidal also.
I still believe they will use this case to attack freedom of speech.
for those who don't mind watching long videos. but only 20 minutes is necessary

he is a REAL lawyer that explains this case well.
this is the judge explaining his verdict.

I was hoping there was a real lawyer on bnet to give further insight into this case.
is there a lawyer in the house?
some troll is going to say he is.
this is aboslutley genius.
a quote by a women that im linking in this thread.
"if someone says something verbally to you and you kill them you are not off the hook . so if you cant use words to get you off the hook then how come words can be used to get you on the hook"
these two women explain the case and the women on the left is a absolute genius

I WANT TO ADD THAT WHAT SHE DID WAS DISCUSTING. I don't condone her actions its just that I feel if a law does not exist you cant convict.

1 ReplyThe right to "free speech" has a limit to what you can say, if you threaten a person or constantly insult them you can be arrested for harassment. Abusing your rights is precisely what will get you arrested and will lead you down the road to lose them. This is a similar case for this woman, she goaded him on to kill himself and did not search for help. It's like going to a fire that breaks out in a building and you begin to pour lighter fluid on the floors and walls to make it burn faster. You won't get arrested for the fire (as you didn't start it), but you sure as hell will be arrested for obstruction of public services and possibly arson. She abused her right of free speech in a way that caused a loss of life and that is enough for a prison sentence or at least community service. She also failed to contact anyone to help this man while knowing that he was going to kill himself.

5 RepliesThere's a limit to free speech. The only people who are upset about this ruling are those who use texting and social media as a way to bully others, because now they can be charged with the crimes they've committed.

Please use "a" and "an" appropriately.

1 ReplyI don't live in America but I believe that your guys free speech laws no longer apply if it's used to cause panic or harm
-
16 RepliesIf I were the judge I'd sentence her to death. Like anyone else who did that kind of thing.

4 RepliesEdited by Azurai: 6/19/2017 6:50:29 PMSo by the logic of these people who say she shouldn't be charged, I could go and become a therapist, and encourage and pressure every client to commit suicide and that's perfectly legal and ok? Lmao keep it up guys, stay classy

1 ReplyBy her speaking and telling him to get back in instead of helping can be defines as assited suicide and is some states as homicide so yes she goes to jail for that the law states it doesnt matter about freedom of speech beacuse if you know about the law there are limitations etc. The case was done fast The real discution should be why are court cases on the news?

3 RepliesOMG the replies in this thread. Jesus Christ.

1 ReplyI also don't see how you can defend her after she does something like that. You're just as horrible as she is by saying she doesn't deserve punishment tbh.
-
5 RepliesShe encouraged him to kill himself, even told him to do it when he wanted to stop. She deserves every punishment that's coming to her. What a sorry excuse for a human being.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. Whether you hate her or not, you can't just find someone guilty when there are no laws against what she did. At least fight to fix the rules instead of breaking them yourself to punish her.

6 RepliesYou don't seem to understand the border of what free speech is and isn't. First of all, the 1st amendment was originally put in place to allow people to freely criticize the government and talk out, not to allow psychopaths to manipulate a mentally unstable kid into committing suicide. Example: yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded theater is illegal because it can cause harm and chaos to others. The person yelling didn't directly cause harm, but they were still the source. Whatever the initial charge was is irrelevant, what is important is that justice is served. Be happy that she's getting what she deserves and put faith in Lady Justice

Who really cares, she's ugly

Edited by sillly: 6/18/2017 10:03:04 PMGirls are the reason why World War 3 will happen. Most reporters/political figures = girls Girls = like drama Girls = habitual liars Girls = blame president for silly things Girls = complain too much Girls = falsely accuse the innocent Yep. Thanks girls.

8 RepliesAt the very least, she needs psychiatric help. If a conviction was the only way to enforce that (and the state didn't have the adequate legislation in place to deal with what she did), then I think the manslaughter charge was fair.
-
1 ReplyThis is outrageous. The was intentionally taking advantage of his mental instability to kill him, so she could profit from it.
-
6 RepliesHuman life has no inherent value, I don't see a problem with what she did
-
5 RepliesEncouraging someone who is on the verge of killing them self (as in someone tells you "I'm gonna kill myself tomorrow") and telling them "you should do it, you have nothing to lose" which is what this girl said instead of telling the boy's parents about his plan to commit suicide and potentially prevent it is basically murder.
-
10 RepliesIf somebody so much as tells you they are suicidal, I believe you have the obligation to never ever encourage such an action. To help them is preferred, but to do the opposite is atrocious, inhumane, and above everything else: sadistic
-
9 RepliesWell, we still cannot say, 'hey you wanted to kill your wife. you should' cause that makes us an accessory to murder. Also, telling a dude that he is a coward unless he gets back in the truck makes you a coercer. but seeing how they don't have a law, it still could be done under hate speech or involuntary manslaughter. Keeping the legal precedent that you would set if the girl got off free in mind, which that would be a huge mess. i think that the judge should make do with what he has and set the standard that people who manipulate their friends into killing them selves are responsible also. just my thoughts.

1 ReplyOP just stop. The courts decision has been made.

2 RepliesWomen are likely the cause of most male suicides one way or another.

Good. That's what she gets.

1 ReplySomething about reading this while Rusted Root's "Send me on my way" made this... odd...

8 RepliesEdited by HollowedWayfarer: 6/18/2017 12:26:07 AMShe's f-ing guilty. She ruined her life while destroying his and she deserved it. Eye for an eye.
if I'm completely honest, I think she deserves to be charged as an adult and be held for murder on the 2nd degree.
