Hey guys me and my raid team just got done doing Heroic VoG and checking out all the new changes, and I thought I'd put down everything we found out. Note that the changes are only live on the current Heroic version and if you don't believe me on anything you can try it yourself.
Entering Vog- Nothing has changed, probably just going to be a few more minotaurs. New chest discovered in the path that you take for No Time to Explain. Main theory is that it will give a class item and legendary engram like the ones in Crota.
Confluxes- For the entire area a lot of the cheeses have been blocked off. Spirit bloom chest area has been blocked off until Templar is killed, the pillar has been extended up higher, there are new turn back barriers both above and in the right corner so you can't hide anywhere. You can no longer sit up top and snipe as there is a turn back barrier. There is a small ledge they missed on the right side that can fit 3 people however. You cannot stay up and snipe anymore as you will receive the "joining allies" if you are above the turn back barrier. Harpies explode. Recommended classes include bubbles, tethers, sunsingers, and sunbreakers.
Oracles- They spawn a lot quicker and in higher quantity per round, guestimate puts them about 8-10 per round. They spawn fasted but stay up for a bit longer so you have a bit of breathing room.There are now only 3 rounds. Good weapons include Any Vog weapon, once you get them, dark drinker, outbreak prime, and sleeper (I don't recommend sleeper since it can bounce back and kill you) Classes same as Confluxes.
Templar- You need to have 3 on 1 side and 2 on the other with the relic guy moving about. Oracles are now red and take more to kill. If you miss one your team will receive the "Prophecy of doom" debuff like with Atheon and wipe within a few seconds. Oracles take about 1 heavy hit from dark drinker, 3 shotgun/sniper shots, or 1 sleeper shot. Recommended classes to have include: 2 blinding bubbles, 1 on either side, storm caller, tethers and celestial nighthawks. Have 1 person from each side on ad duty once they start spawning. Theories on templar challenge include: No teleporting, everyone has to hold the aegis once, a different person must take off his shields/ block teleport each time, and kill all oracles every round (last one unlikely due to new mechanic).
Chests are still in the same spot for the exotic chest, blocking templar from teleporting, and the one in the gorgons labyrinth.
Gorons Labyrinth: The cheese has been taken out as far as our testing goes, it may still be in but we cannot seem to achieve it as we may be doing it wrong like the potatoes we are. You can now respawn if your killed, Gorgons no longer respawn when killed, and they no longer get stronger when one is killed. Makes it super easy to kill them all. Take it slow and kill 1 at a time, it will take up at least 1/2 your heavy if you dont have celestial nighthawk. Recommended classes include: 1 weapons bubble, tethers, celestial nighthawks, and sunsinger with vikings funeral. Equipment includes swords and sleepers. (If you have 1 young wolves howl and 5 raze lighters it makes it a lot easier) I do not recommend dark drinker since it can push them away from the group.
Jumping puzzle: it is the same as before.
Gatekeeper: Gatekeeper now teleports immediately once you start damaging him, meaning you can't stay in the back room and snipe him. Gatekeeper now spawns an additional aegis when downed. Unsure of it's intended use at the moment but my theory is that its just there to help kill ads and provide safety for your team. The recommended strat is to start on one side and send 2-3 people in, including the guy with the 3rd relic, and get that relic before moving on to the other side. Remember that everything will be harder to kill so play it safe.
Atheon: As far as we observed not much ahs changed during this fight. Oracles now spawn faster and the top Oracle spawn has been removed. You will want to have a sleeper and a good sniper on until you get good VoG weapons, such as Atheon's Epilogue, for oracles. Theories for challenge include: Everyone must hold relic at one point, you cannot kill or damage Atheon with Times Vengence active. Recommended gear includes: Any high impact sniper, sleeper simulate. Classes include 1 Tether, as many celestial nighthawks as possible, bubbles.

7 RepliesThe whole point of defeating Atheon is using times vengeance. I doubt the challenge will be to not use time vengeance. If that's the case then that's pretty dumb
