26 RepliesF'ning brilliant!! Remember all the posts about, " ah, six months from now activision will sell it separately". Nope!! Lol!!
-
It was brilliant. It's super scummy but brilliant.
-
3 RepliesYes bc no one wanted that trash just mwr
-
They had to sell infinite dogshit somehow
-
Really smart. Asshole move, but smart
-
6 RepliesAbsolutely. I don't know why people even hate that much. Infinite Warfare is not terrible. Ghosts and AW were AWEFUL. But didnt have bad campains. IW is pretty good all around.
-
Definitely gives their distributors a helping hand.
-
They're smart assholes
-
That's smart.
-
2 RepliesI would love an old school version of IW. the double jumping and increased maneuverability makes it so sweaty an just not fun

Edited by RANG3R: 2/7/2017 3:06:10 PMIn the short run, yes this was a good idea. I'm sure they made a ton of money off of people buying the legacy edition. However, in the long run this just proved to more people that Activison doesn't really care too much about people's opinions or wants. They are in the business of making money and that seems to be all that they are concerned with.

4 RepliesPeople get a free game and still complain. Astounding
-
5 RepliesBusiness wise? yes Customer satisfaction wise? Hellllllll no
-
4 RepliesShort term, yes. Long term, no. People will despise them. Cod is dying as it is, this doesn't help. They done messed up
-
Depends on what you mean. Smart as in a good idea to make money, yes. Good fan service, no
-
Yes. It's incredibly anti-consumer, but in typical fashion droves of consumers went through with their purchases regardless. It worked for Activision, despite abysmal initial pre-order numbers. Even worse are the microtransactions added to Modern Warfare, the game which people actually want to play. And still they pay for it. And still they play it.
-
They'll release it nice the next CoD runs around, either Call of Duty Primal or Call of Duty Undefined Warfare
-
Financially, yes Consumer retention wise, no
-
Ingenious, actually. The only reason CoD was the best selling game this year was because of that reason actually.
-
Screw Activision!
-
It was smart but a lot of people didn't like it.
-
Should've just remastered both mw1 and mw2(and maybe mw3 for a complete trilogy) and sold that. I guarantee not only would we gamers have been happier, but Activision would've made a bigger profit.
-
I just wish that I could delete infinite warfare but still play modern warfare.
-
Let's just hope sledgehammer makes a better cod that isn't FUTURISTIC
-
Not for long term. People already hate COD and anyone involved with it so putting what many consider the best COD ever behind the shittiest COD was a huge dick move. And it just pushes their player base further and further away. Plus it kinda shows how they weren't confident in IW at all. That they had to do it in the first place. It's like in meetings they went "Hey people really hate this shit so how can we still make money off of it? Oh I know! Remaster the best COD but make it so you have to buy IW! Genius!"
