So before rise of iron, a lot of people were complaining and saying "use a primary for once!" So bungie gives us the clever dragon and now people are getting crap for using a primary? Make up your minds. It doesn't matter how good it is, the point is that you wanted us to use primary more....well, you got your wish and now you're unhappy. Smh
Edit: over 200 responses!? I went to bed after I posted this WTF!
Edit2: fixed the title for the children
Edit3: top comment goes to Lord Tonic. "I'm happy to get killed by it because it's a PRIMARY"
Edit4: 1000 REPLYS!!!!! THIS THREAD HAS RISEN TO GODLINESS!!!!

16 RepliesProbably because it's the ONLY good primary archetype.

1 ReplyKids will always moan about anything and everything.

1 ReplyI'd rather they use that than... ;)

22 Replies90+% of sweats are handcannons.. i get beat by them more than any primary, yet everyone wants to nerf the only gun that can compete with it? Stupid. Oh and btw Low RoF Pulses have a 0.02 less TTK and higher range..

1 ReplyEdited by ???: 11/30/2016 11:35:47 PMI was playing with my buddies and they told me to use a primary and stop using godroll Matador 64. I Got Shit on.

1 ReplyJust take high caliber rounds off that gun and don't allow it on that archetype. Other wise it's fine.

2 RepliesI got some hate for using an NL shadow a few weeks ago.. mind you I was 3 tapping people with it because of crowd control and reactive reload.

1 ReplyPpl still care?

78 RepliesYea no folks said use PRIMARIES. Notice how its plural. No one meant for everyone to use a singular primary. That literally changes nothing. Tf?

Man...wish I'd see a clever dragon besides my own...ran 4 control matches and all I heard were last word last word last word...

1 ReplyIt is still way too op

11 RepliesEdited by TeddyBundy: 11/30/2016 9:44:01 PMBungle Headquarters: "Guys, people should use Primaries more. Any ideas?" "Let's create one single gun that makes every other gun of that and other weapon types obsolete! It should have no downsides at all. Awesome at close, mid and long ranges, awesome stability, awesome handling, extremely easy to use, extremely forgiving once you miss a shot or two, fastest killtime, etc. And it should be achievable for everyone in a few hours of playing...let's say Iron Banner loot drop with a godroll-possibility of...30%?" "Damn, that sounds awesome! The community will go nuts about it and 80% will own at least one good roll, huehuehuejueee!"

1 ReplyI use other guns. I personally love the nirwins. But if they ever nerf my grasp. Thats the day ill quit destiny for sure.

3 RepliesI enjoy my op clever dragon (look at my warlock for rolls) when I use it it shuts down anything that isn't super close range it doesn't need a nerf either because I've seen some guns outplay it

Edited by WulfPak666: 12/1/2016 5:21:19 AMIt's not that its OP or anything. But 1 primary being good doesn't excuse the fact that almost all the others are being gipped. I think people just hate that only like 3-4 primary guns in the whole game are mandatory to use to be "competitive" Pulse Rifle is Clever Dragon/Grasp Scout is MiDa Auto is Doctrine Handcannon is Palindrome/Eyasluna Good. Out of the thousands of primaries.. only 4 or 6 are considered very good. In other words...
The vocal community will never be happy. We give them a raise and yet, they still take a shit in our water cooler. The monsters
Palindrome is where it's at

9 RepliesEdited by SergioVengeance: 12/1/2016 1:41:26 AMThe issue isn't that people weren't using primaries.... The issue is that there is no diversity in primaries. a month ago when they said the Clever Dragon was coming for all, I called the downfall of Crucible because of the popularity of the Grasp (even though they are all dick riders and didn't give a damn about Skorri's or the Timepiece but I digress) Crucible is not fun when everyone is forced to only use one weapon. People say "Blame Bungie for nerfing primaries" Naw fam, I blame you, the players. Because over a year ago, you guys were the same damn people abusing the Thorn and TLW because "Primaries sucked" when Fast Autos were good, all pulses were good and scouts were the same (The Mida being a rare sight in Crucible) Weapons that were damn good in Year 1 HoW that were overlooked were 1.Salvation State 2. High Road Soldier 3. Three Little Words 4. Hopscotch Pilgrim (before people jumped on the bandwagon) 5. 55a Allfate (This was when weapon forging was around and you can make a gun whatever you wanted) Yet, nothing but Thorn and TLW..maybe a Hawkmoon here and there. Bungie needs to buff primaries but this damn player base needs a mind of it's own and stop running to YouTubers who say " Use dis Gun or u wil suk in da Crucible" The problem is the players, not the game. As soon as 1 person exploits a primary that is unbalanced, it's the new META and you guys all use it. (Point in fact why most of you are with FWC only for the Waltz and nothing else) I have never played a game with more weapons to use in PVP and them not be used because the players do not want to. Or have no brain to try it out because their YouTuber did not make a video about it. If Bungie brought back every Year 1 and 2 weapon to Destiny RIGHT now, you guys would only be using the Clever Dragon and dick riding it until the next weapon patch...then going to your preferred YouTuber and waiting for them to exploit the next unbalanced primary to use. Rinse, repeat. It is why I quit this game a year ago and quit again last week. PVP is just a god damn joke.

Primary weapon should encompass more than just one thing. I see clever dragon on at least 3/4 of all players.

7 RepliesI remember once when my dad gave me money to pay the electricity bill but instead i bought a raffle ticket for a brand new car. When i got home,i explained to my dad what i did and he beat the crap out of me. But the next day, when my dad woke up and opened the door, outside my house was a brand new car. We all cried especially me,because the car was from the electricity company, they were there to cut off the electricity, my dad beat the crap out of me again

1 ReplyEdited by Bodaciousmoondadpizzawolf: 12/1/2016 4:40:39 AMHoly shit dude this blew up. I'd love to read though the comments but I don't have time so I'll just leave my 2 cents. High caliber on fast rate of fire weapons is annoying to go up against but I think that it's a good thing. If you want to come out on top of a primary battle this forces players to work on timing their shots, accepting when to disengage and using other weapons in conjunction with abilities to shut down a Clever D spammer.

61 RepliesEdited by Cosmic Zaa: 12/1/2016 3:58:01 PMIt's statistically the most used primary. They want "Primaries". Not just one singular OP primary. It needs a change. Most primaries need a change. CD and Grasp are too strong. Edit: Here's my idea of what should be balanced. Some stuff needs a buff and some needs a nerf. Fast firing HC, Pulse and Scout need to be sped up slightly and take 4 headshots to kill. Medium-Fast HC, Pulse and Scout need to be 3 headshot kill BUT have strong recoil/bad handling. Medium HC, Pulse and Scout need to be 3 headshot kill. Slow HC, Pulse and Scout need to be slowed down a little more but take 2 headshots to kill. Autos are a different ball park. Get rid of ghost bullets too. If balanced to what i just said, HC wont be OP.

It's because it's the perfect example of a primary. Consistent, high DPS, accurate... And it's basically the only primary like that... I'm not complaining, but there's your explanation
