Can stats be better in destiny?

Stats are fine.

They do need a buff, but you're ideas arent great.

Yes. Yes they can. I think that the difference between destiny and other games is the stats and perks you can get to change you're play style. The problem with this however is that, half the time, Stats barley have any affect on game-play. Especially since everyone just specs for the same thing. (Armor, recovery, intelligence, and discipline.) This really sucks, because the other stats, simply don't have as much usage. I had some ideas for how stats could be better. Armor: Right now, armor simply increases health, which kinda bores me. I think Overwatch is a good example as to how armor could be really dynamic. Here's the scoop, you have an armor stat of 5. Anything doing below 50 damage, will do 20% less damage. However, anything that does 50 damage will do full damage. This kind of armor stat would be especially great to increase the importance of the range stat. For example, a shotgun would do under the required 50 damage, meaning it would do significantly less damage, and not killing you. That or it could simply increase the amount of shields you have. Strength I think whats wrong with strength right now, is that is normally recharges before you know it, and it doesn't really come into play all that often, especially in PVP. So hows about this: The higher strength you have, the faster you execute and pull away from the melee. You would also have a farther melee range. ( I can however see this being a problem with storm callers.) Agility God does agility do nothing right now. Please, Bungie, if you're reading this, make agility do something. anything. Right now, the effects are so unnoticeable in most cases, its laughable how many people actually spec for it. Here's what I think should happen to it. Agility now makes you sprint faster, slide faster, and use double jump abilities faster. (as well as jump higher.) Agility should make you faster. Honestly, I can see why Bungie wouldn't want to do that considering the shotgun chargers, but when you think about it, if you spec for agility, you cant spec for armor, making you a glass cannon. Its especially annoying that hunters right now are forced on with the useless perk. Conclusion These perks are often overlooked, and for good reason. They're honestly not as strong as everything else. I do believe with some patches, these perks might actually be usable, and worth specing for. Its all just matter of "Is this worth sacrificing this for." that could add that spice of variety to stats that players of destiny go for. I made a mistake in the poll. Simply like if you agree. • The two stats that really stand out as flawed in the current implementation are Agility and Strength. Agility, I believe, only affects base jump height and base movement speed (not sprint speed). This stat needs to be removed and replaced with something like Dexterity. Dexterity would continue to increase base movement speed (again, not sprint speed) as well as grant a small bonus to primary weapon handling. All class jump heights would be normalized and no longer affected by any stat. The problem with Strength is that we don't really have a compelling choice with our melee abilities right now. With the exceptions of the Stormcaller and Nightstalker, who have excellent melee overrides and lackluster grenades, no class would ever want their melee override over their grenade. Grenades consistently deal more damage and require less commitment. I like the idea of Strength buffing base melee attacks in some way, but some of that (attack speed) is already implemented as armor perks. It would be interesting if Strength buffed all melee damage as well as the current cooldown reduction, but that would start to put certain melee overrides into potential one-shot range. Some people might not be happy about that. I think it would give all the shotgun rushers in the game a little bit more to worry about.
