Consumable healing items in a Soulsborne games is one of the worst mechanics I have ever seen, you have to spend 15 minutes farming or a bunch of echos for another chance at that boss, in a game about learning from your mistakes this is one of the worst things you can do. Many of the late game and dungeon bosses essentially forced you to get viscerals if you wanted to get any significant amount of damage off, which is another consumable you have to farm for or buy. The rally system was good early on, but as you progressed enemies attacked more often and hit far harder which made trying to get health back that way was suicide. Finally, 14 weapons is far too low a number even with the 2nd form each had.
