This is basically what its like having ghost at your side, is this how you intended our partner to be?
Edit: I felt nothing after the khvostov quest either

1 ReplyI am keeping mine with a false sense of security before presenting him as a sacrificial offering to Cabal emperor.

4 RepliesI miss dinklebot. Can't stand the new nerd

1 ReplyEdited by Zarahi Sunstrider: 10/25/2016 10:54:06 AMPlaying Remembrance at the end of auto rifle quest was great just like when you play The Coming War.

I think half the connection is lost since the guardian hasn't had a lick of dialogue since Vanilla Destiny. Now he has about as much personality as Gordon Freeman. In Destiny 2 I pray that they let us customise our guardians more with voice types, voice tones and so on.

3 RepliesEdited by apmoberg: 10/24/2016 8:34:10 PMI am a ttk player, and have seen videos of the old ghost, and it sounds terrible and boring. He has 0 emotion, yet still everyone loves him because of 1 line? What? 1 line, 1.......and people want him for that? And how could not even feel it at the end of the kvhostov quest! Imagine dinklebot saying that.....you would feel jack shit! You can't have lines meant to make the players feel emotion when the one saying it hat none!
-
2 RepliesWell, Dinklebot was actually a much better character... He did a lot with his voice... Expressed ranges of emotion instead of just the specific emotion. But similarly, I have very little connection to specifically my character. All of their character development has to be made up by you. It's right on up there with "Press X to oay respects"
-
Destiny has no story. As for Character development LMAO! They only things we are connected with are the weapons we shoot. Destiny 2 will not be a great story with interesting characters. Hell that is not Bungie's modus operandi.
-
1 ReplySame. Destiny isn't good with story or character interactions that's for sure. The guy who voice the ghost is a really good voice actor but Bungie managed to -blam!- it up xD All in all what hook me isn't the story it's the raids and loot and some PVP here and there. I wish they could just make all the previous raids viable again.

1 ReplyKhvostov is a horrible weapon. They destroyed it before Rise of Iron even launched. I guess they figured nostalgia alone would make us want that weapon. I've used it once trying out all the settings. It now occupies space in my vault next to my Nechrochasm, never to be used again, I imagine.

The only time I've ever felt a hint of emotion that wasn't pure hatred for being a useless door-opener was back in Venus when you call him Little Light and he says "Don't do that". Other than that, he's about as bland as any other character in Destiny.
-
1 ReplyThat khvostov quest left me like "rly..."
-
1 ReplyWhat even after his hardcore display of emotions at the end of that mission? He confessed his love for you and then you reject him and make this post...... You are so heart less ;o)
-
3 RepliesWhile I prefer dinklebot I think the problem is our character being silent as well now. Becoming an iron lord with him silent was the most awkward cutscene in the game.
-
1 ReplyI'd like it if our character and ghost would just have some small back and forths every one in a while Example: Archon's Forge Victory- Ghost: We survived! Us: We always survive
-
2 RepliesSame. I used to like my Dinklebot ghost, he was my buddy, my friend...WE WOKE THE HIVE!! Boringbot is just an annoying voice like the Halo spark. Oh...we woke the hive I didnt feel anything during the Khvostov quest as it wasnt this ghost who found me. i have no connection to it
-
1 ReplyEven after the Khvostov quest?
-
2 RepliesI did have a slight connection to ghost, then Bungie nerfed him in to a whiny pre pubescent version of himself. Since then, I just try my damnest to ignore he exists
-
2 RepliesMeh, the monologue at the end of the Khvostov quest was nice. Whether you interpret it as an in-lore chat with the Ghost, or a "thank you" from the developers. Beyond that there were only 2 endeering bits with the Ghost The "movie" thing where he talks about how he looked for you for centuries... I think that was a bit in TTK When you go into Cayde's stash - but that was just barely interesting. Beyond that... meh. Hell in Vanilla I was expecting the Ghost to be revealed to be an enemy at one point.
