A lot of people might get mad at me, but I think dropping the raid a month after Rise of Iron would solve a lot of issues a long the way
Been watching a recent PlanetDestiny Podcast and Teftyteft gave a very good opinion on how he feels about the raid launching too early and it ruins the fun a bit.
It's pretty much wanting you as a player who didn't horde engrams and just played the game to struggle to get to 365. To put that amount of worrysome on someone isn't always a good having to grind till there's no tomorrow before a raid is released isn't always healthy. I wanted to take my time and enjoy all this dlc had to offer, but then I kind of regretted not being like those streamers who bordered so many exotics and legendaries and already at 375 or 380.
I think Bungie needs to learn when to release the raid, already two weeks in and I can't find anyone who wouldn't mind helping me through the first part of the raid. I try to find more skeleton keys but they never drop for me. Bought 350 exotics from Xur to infuse (glad he's useful now) but still can't break even. Saving legendary marks are a chore because now the strikes are 350 and can't enjoy it at that light level when teammates below you are 343 or something getting destroyed.
All I'm saying is Bungie should have had the raid at least a couple or 3 later then the dlc dropped. I love this game, but it shouldn't make me feel pressured into grinding just to try to break even 365 to even try to get into the raid.
Anyone has a opinion they want to share about the raid dropping too early?

Same but in my boat it's all my friends stopped playing so I have no raid team and I can't get anyone to take me through so I've stopped playing pretty much feel like I wasted $30

1 ReplyIf you don't want to play the raid. Just don't... Holy -blam!-ing -blam!- face.... I wanted to play it. But you didn't so I am not allowed... Wow what a great logic.. Bunny already ties us to there rules and how they want us to play their game. It's good they released it.. And it's also good that it's not as hard as oryx. Just casually doing the raid is more fun then going full focus ape shit for 6 hours. I also like to have fun instead of full focus

2 RepliesI normally would have agreed that it shouldn't have dropped right away, but now after doing the raid I think they Did it right. I say this because if they waited, a month let's say, everyone would likely be 370+. And unlike other raids where being a little overleveled didn't make things that much easier, this raid is extremely easy to overlevel and becomes a cake walk at 370+ (hence why it can be 2 manned). So I'm kind of glad that I was forced into rushing in at 355, because it made it an actual challenge for the first few times.

2 RepliesI agree a little. I think a month is a bit harsh. But trying to look for a team is dumb "must be 375+ with emblem and the blood of a virgin" literally all the raid team finder is. I found only a few people who weren't light level racist. I'm glad my friends are starting to get it. But if you need help you can add me. I'm on ps4 though. j-wezzy10

It's the Nature of MMOs that SOME players will race to Max Level. The Raid had/has nothing to do with that. It's called OCD and planning! Those folks that hoarded engrams and doing 24hr streams would have hit max level regardless of the raid. Then this post would have gone up the day after IB, lamenting the number players already 385+ crushing it in IB and how unfair it is that y2 Engrams worked. Hey, at least now, you and your raid team don't have to figure everything out, all on your own!

Just cuz your soft doesn't mean ruin the fun for everyone. They released a little early. I think Saturday that week or perhaps the next Friday after would have been fine. Either way I started it at 348 light lol and still made it to phase II of the final boss after my light going way up along the way. However the final boss is a bitch and a half if you're under 370

My goal was not to be 375 - 380 the very minute the expansion dropped; I would have had nothing to do. I do not regret playing the content and gradually progressing to 365. I just wish the campaign would have been longer, a week's worth honestly, there would have been more quests, the Thorn had a quest like the Gjallarhorn and didn't drop randomly, and that Archon's Forge was more sustainable because it is kinda fun. The drops could be a bit better too. I just wish we could get up to 370 with heroic strikes.

If they waited a month people would have already been 400 light before the normal mode raid cane out.

One thing I've always though about the game is since it's so dependent on the player base, if you fall behind its really tough to get back up. I don't agree with delaying the raid but maybe some other way to get to the required light for guardians below would be nice.

I was fine with it people can still take their time to do it. ik I didn't farm and I was in the 350s while doing raid and still made it to final boss part 2 had to get my light up to 365 to beat him though.

So, you want Bungie to delay the raid, because you're not ready when it launches? No The raid will always be there. It's not going to up and disappear. "LFG is full of elitists" Make your own post. Or grind to the very attainable light of 370 without raiding. Everyone is starting to ask for 370. "I wanted to be one of the first people in" Tough luck. Can't have everything. TL/DR: Bungo should not hold back the raid just for you.

I feel as though they released the raid too early, but I don't really care from a personal level. After HoW I learned not to rush. I'll do it someday on my own time.

Maybe just a week after release so people can at least do two of each weekly reset activity before doing the raid
