Let's be honest, Kings Fall was pretty mediocre, especially the gear. My favorite memories are stomping Atheon and Crota into the dirt in the old raids and getting some great gear while doing so. In order for Destiny to have more content, replay-ability, and life span, we need Vault of Glass, Crota's End, and King's Fall to be brought into Year 3.
If you agree, bump this post so Deej or Bungie members can see. If you don't, explain why, I'd love to hear your opinions :P
I meant up the light level so we can get the loot for Year 3

Having all the old raids come back would be great! VOG was extremely fun even with all the cheeses back then, CE was great but way too short, and KF was amazing with all the mediocre bosses!!

BUMP AGAIN

17 RepliesI would love to have the old raids come back but you're out of your gourd if you honestly think Crota's End was anywhere near as good as King's Fall. Crota's End was practically a 6 man strike while King's Fall was arguably better than the Vault of Glass. Don't let nostalgia make you go full retard.

That doesn't agree with bungie's business plan, how could they make money off newer more mediocre content if they keep the better pre existing content relevant?

Bump!

I agree. how long after RoI releases until most of us have have completed everything new? Once the "New" wears off then the grind begins. So where is the harm in grabbing some friends and doing a heroic version of Crota or VoG, where INFUSABLE highere light level gear drops? How dope would a 300 Vision of Confluence or 290 Word of Crota be that you could bring to max light? I loved the Hezen gear from Vault, and the Crota gear was dope too, but its irrelevant. Why not make that gear and those activities relevant again? Well, server population on those activities is waaay down, so less hardware and lower infrastructure costs-retooling hardware to accomodate new content and how bandwidth is distributed. It is a legitimate cost/benefit ratio, however I see only benefits. I dont think any of us want to feel limited by how awesome this game is, and by holding those activities and rewards to year 1 and year 2 levels, thats exactly what happens. We want to feel rewarded for our efforts. But, aside from the obvious, where is the in game, relevant reward for defeating Atheon again? Its kind of difficult gett8ng a group together to do those things anymore, BUT..... If you added an option to infuse a 160 Fate Bringer up to current light max...well now there is a reason to go back and team up on 9ld raids. Not looking to reinvent the wheel, just let us enjoy the "WHOLE" game that we keep paying for. Stop limiting us to current content. How often can anyone say they can at any time find people wanting to do Crota or VoG? I just miss doing that stuff with a good group, and having the expectation that I was gonna get that one piece of gear or weapon that completed my set. It isnt a must, but I am a day one player and never did find the Fate Bringer. Not complaining, just never got it. It would be badass to get it now, & have it be relevant. Thanks for reading. See you all atop Felwinters Peak and in the Plaguelands fellow guardians.

35 RepliesEdited by LTCcherno: 9/8/2016 2:10:53 PMVanilla- "God, I hate the raid. It takes so long and there's no matchmaking!" The Dark Below- "Crota's End sucks! It's all about VoG, dude!" House of Wolves- "Dude, I can't believe they tried something new with Prison of Elders. Atheon and Crota were way better!!!" The Taken King- "Kingsfall sucks. I hate that I actually have to participate! And the gear sucks! Bring back Prison of Elders and the old raids!!! I hate year 2!!! And I guarantee you... Rise or Iron- "Wrath of the Machine sucks!!! I miss Oryx, Crota, Skolas and Atheon!!! We need it to be like year 2 again!" See the pattern?

2 RepliesWhy are you people against more content, jeez I've never seen so many people who don't want more to do in a video game.
-
they said they might update them l8 2017 :)
-
Bump I agree but crota wasnt that awesome my favorite was vault if glass
-
I heard that when ROI drops or maybe sometime after the old raids will drop end game gear. This due to ROI being the last expansion till destiny 2 next year.
-
Vault of glass yooooo Now that one wasn't stationary and demanded good coordination and teamwork. Challenging and fun too

3 RepliesThis is the way all MMO's work: new raid comes out, old raid(s) become obsolete. Bungie has no reason too, and have explicitly stated that it wouldn't be happening.

Edited by LoneStar: 9/9/2016 3:52:38 PMIt would make sense to bring VoG back, because the vault is infinite, it exists in the past present and future. If the vex wanted to they could alter the timeline and have the vault resurge with stronger versions of the bosses to prevent guardians from reclaiming it so easily. 25 RepliesLet me get this straight... You want to run 3xVoG, 3xCE, 3xPoE, 3xKF, 3xWoM? Then you have 3x True Meaning of War bounties, 3x Heroic Strikes, 3x Nightfalls, 14 Dailys, weekly crucible and a weekend of ToO? That's far too much stuff for people to do in one week. People won't have the chance to do anything else. The old raids and activities should stay in the past. But, maybe they could add an activity challenge each week. 1 week we have a VoG challenge and then the next is CE? That's the only way I see it working if you were to keep the old stuff relevant. To actually make them part of the expansion would be a very stupid move.
