DLC ideas?

With the new DLC, rise of iron coming soon, we are starting to think that bungie is very big on new DLC's and the question is, which ones could come in the future? One of my ideas are actually pretty lame, it's called, King's rise. What happens is that the taken King Oryx, teams up with her sister's to destroy humanity once and for all. You guys think of some!

  • The planet crackers. Elite combat legion of the Cabal. They went missing after going through an active vex gate, now they have returned. They have changed with Vex technology, their one goal. Destruction of the traveler and the darkness.

I'd like one in Egypt against Vex, who use a time conflux to open an ancient black hole or stargate, that allows a new species to enter our world, or buried under the Pyramids is a ship of this new race, who are just now showing up to find it. The new specie could be based on Hyenas or Jackals (not sure what to call this faction? Pharaohs?) in Egyptian mythology. They could have Blind Jackal Helmet that Warlocks get, maybe a unit with a Cobra Snake look to its helmet, and another one with a Eagle or Falcon type helmet, (futuristic Egyptian armor theme), melee unit with a curved sword that is either arc or solar (can be acquired as either a Legendary or Exotic heavy). Enemy unit weapons could be similar to Trials weapons (like Doctrine of Passing for example). I would give them the ability to burrow into the sand to either escape danger or to burst out and attack guardians. I'd make a large scorpion type tank as a boss, patrol area with the Sphinx and Pyramids. You could have a raid under the Pyramids with bosses named after Gods (like Rha and Anubis). Also would include new Vex strike, new Jackal enemy strike, new Vex and Jackal story missions, bosses, cinematics, new Grimoire cards, and PvE mode similar to Halo ODST survival/firefight mode, updated Prison of Elder with the new Siva Fallen, and new Jackal faction. Its not the most original idea, but i think it would be pretty wicked.

Firstly, I want nothing more to do with the Hive until Destiny 2 because we've killed their king and all of Year w has been centres around them. The DLC would be based around Cabal, and the Emperor has arrived with a huge fleet and they are trying to, and successfully, invade Earth and a majority of our colonies. They have pushed us back to the wall and the House of Kings fight back against the Cabal because they don't want them to reach the Traveler. We then make an unsteady alliance with the HoK and drive the Cabal back to the Cosmodrome where the Raid will take place. However once they reach the Cosmodrome, the HoK retreat back into hiding until late in the Raid when some barons/Archon attempts to form an alliance with the Cabal. We would then have to kill the Fallen and Cabal representatives to prevent the alliance forming.

    • I've had this idea for a while that a raid with the Cabal wouldn't seem fitting, but rather an extremely large scale battle, possibly up to 12 guardians at a time? Some 'protect the zone' or 'kill important target' diversions would pop up, along with different objectives forcing players to swap positions on the map if need be.

I think a good way to bring back the old raids would be to have a story to explain the slain raid bosses and skolas coming back to life. A free update bringing three story missions, a new strike, and update the old raids and prison of elders that would be centered around hive wizard named Verok, which is the wizard the Darkblade fell in love with. It starts with a cutscene where Verok escapes her cell in the dungeons and she then goes over to the darkblades cell. There she finds a fireteam of warlocks, who are investigating hive runes telling of a powerful wizard held in oryx's dungeons(the wizard is Verok) the warlocks are attacked by cabal and hive with a strange green aura around them. Then the cutscene ends. After a report that the team went missing, the vanguard send you to investigate what happened. After running through the dungeon, which is eerily empty, you find one of the warlocks lying dead. You scan the corpse with your ghost and he says that there are thrall claw marks covering the body, and cabal rounds embedded in the guardians skull. All of the sudden, you hear the cry of hive thrall and the roars of cabal legionaries. You look up, and begin to fight. During the battle, you hear your ghost ask why the hive and cabal aren't killing each other, and also how they have a mysterious green aura around them. After you kill most of the enemies, Verok appears from the darkblades cell. She shoots at you for a while, and after you take her health down to half health and kill the other enemies, she teleports away. You then come back to the tower and report your findings to Ikora Rey. She will then tell you that there are reports saying that the vault of glass is active again, and that you need to talk to eris about Verok. You then walk over to eris and she tells you all about Verok. Eris tells you about her hatred for Verok because she and the darkblade both took part in killing Vell tarlowe, a member of her fireteam. You then learn that Verok is able to resurrect any being tied to the darkness. Verok was imprisioned by oryx because she resurrected an army of hive to help the darkblade overthrow oryx. Eris explains that Verok must think that oryx killed the darkblade, so Eris believes that that she is resurrecting oryx's form in our dimension, only to kill that form again. To win against him she is resurrecting Atheon, Crota, Skolas, and other minions of the darkness to beat him. Because the taken know Verok is trying to defeat oryx, the taken are hunting her all across the dreadnaught. Eris gives you your next objective: to follow these taken across the dreadnaught to find Verok. After you follow the taken across the dreadnaught(from patrol spawn point to court of oryx) you find that she is in another dimension because she went through the portal at the court of oryx. You go back to Eris and tell here where Verok is. She gives you a special hive rune to get to that dimension and instructs you to kill her. You go through the portal and learn that she could not control skolas, Atheon, or Crota. Despite this, she has a huge army of lesser minions of darkness, and a resurrected darkblade to take oryx's place on the throne. She then escapes and leaves you with some of her army and the darkblade. You then slay many resurrected enemies and kill the darkblade, and learn where oryx's resurrection is taken place. This unlocks the strike, where you begin at the portal where you start the regicide mission. You go through the portal and fight through hoards of resurrected enemies, and use tomb husks to create paths to bridge gaps. It all ends at in the room where you meet oryx in the regicide mission. Oryx is already partially resurrected, so Verok escapes when she sees you. You then kill oryx, as he and a legion of taken cut down the resurrected and try to kill you. You then get a quest to complete each of the raids and he prison of elders, which will have new mechanics. Your reward would be an emblem and another quest to get he raid exotics. I think this would be an interesting story because we don't technically win, since Verok escapes. She could become a major character in the destiny universe in the later games. This is all very lore friendly as well. Alright, i probably bored you to death, but im finally done! Please give some feedback if you read this, i would really like to hear other peoples thoughts.

          • Let's be honest. Each single DLC with a decent amount of content they should be selling for twenty dollars they decide to sell for twice that and then cut half the content out. I'm trying not to buy ROI unless it's really as good as the community deserves.

Cabal DLC It's a normal day around the tower, and you are called in to see the vanguard. They praise you for your work against the darkness. They give you a weapon, Worst Nightmare. It is an exotic pulse rifle (I'm still working on the details). You're exiting the Hall of Guardians when a massive explosion goes off in the City. You and the Vanguard rush out to see what happened. The City is being raided by Cabal. "Ready a fireteam, Guardian. The Cabal Emperor has arrived." Shouts Zavala. A massive ship rests over the smoldering remains of the City. It wears the colors the colors of a new cabal faction, the Imperial Guard. Story Missions Still working on it. Raid Geared up in 800 light level gear, you travel into the Imperial Flagship. This is where a new feature is introduced. This feature being an air battle over the City. You and your fireteam, along with an absolute ton of NPC ships, engage in an battle for the skies of the Earth. You win, of course, and land on the hull of the Imperial Ship. You fight your way across to a hatch that you can go through to get into the ship. When you get in, there will be a boss, a lot Valus Ta'aurc, that you have to kill. Two guardians will have to disconnect the wires that power his Void, Arc, and Solar shields. Once this is done, you can deal damage. After the damage is done, about 10 seconds, he regains his shields and lets out a blast of psionic energy, killing players who aren't behind cover. Rinse and repeat until you've beaten him. Next will be a jumping puzzle you have to jump on to Cabal ships that are preparing to take off. If you stay on too long, the ship takes off and kills you. Next is a coordinated transfer of access codes. Three players will kill an ultra centurion each and pick up an access code and gain the debuff Burden of Knowledge which slows them and drains their abilities but gives them higher damage. You will have to do this twice, and unlock the doors between you and the next boss Jalaxn, Hound of the Emperor. He is most literally a Cabal dog. To defeat him is most like Golgoroth. One player will have the debuff Jalaxn's Gaze. The player will be immobilized and Jalaxn will be focused on the player with the debuff, giving the other players a chance to deal damage to the boss. Rinse and repeat until you have beaten him. After about a minute a message pops up and reads "teleporting" you are teleported to the Imperial throne room, where you must kill the Emperor and his successors. I'm still working out what the final boss fight will be, and will edit this post when the time is right. Edit: Sorry about the wall of text.

I think an expansion(or dlc at least) focused around reclaiming Golden Age tech and knowledge rather than focusing on an enemy threat like Skolas rising or Oryx comming to the system would be pretty cool. I'm not saying scrap all the enemies and gun play and let's all go dig around in Clovis Bay for hours on end, but just not introduce new enemies like the Wolves or the Taken and just work with currently(in game) existing enemies, or at least not have them be the driving point, because I've noticed a trend in the past three extensions "Oh, an enemy has become active, we'd better stop them" It's like Guardians are just sitting around waiting for the next threat and not retaking the Sol system. I've even outlined an opening for it (as poor as it is)
Variks has asked a favor of you to steal parts from a Fallen Ketch. You sneak on to a parked Wolf Ketch on Mars(Why not the one on Venus, because Variks really hates the Wolves) to get to the parts, but the Fallen realize you're on board and so they take off with you still inside. Variks tells you to rip out the Warp drive from their engine before they can get you to where the Traveler's Light can't reach you, but you rip out the engine's stabilizer instead because Fallen tech is confusing and the Ketch begins to fall from orbit. Your Ghost makes a witty remark about the Transmat being blocked, you start running, explosions, parts of the Ketch are being ripped off, you reach the hanger hoping to hijack a Skiff but they've all abandoned ship so you do an epic leap of faith out the hanger (cue cutscene) and your Ship swoops in as you're free falling to Mars and catches you. The Ketch slams into Mars and reveals a giant underground cash of Golden Age goodness, just begging to be salvaged and this opens up a new location for patrol.
• Cabal, then somthing to do with osiris, then potentially vex again. As it stands vex got the main game, hive got the dark below and ttk and the fallen got the house of wolves and the upcoming roi. So the only enemy faction without something based around them so far is a cabal dlc.

                      • Wel iv been thinking about it and it goes a bit like this: Vex communication systems are flooding the solar system and it's the guardians job to stop it. A large planet like vex machine (mercury) is the source of it, three main parts of the vex machine(slip equally) represent past, present, and future, when we go to this planet it will be a raid, the patrol will work like Rise Of Iron but on Venus where it will be the original but then click on it and it will bring up a more vex Venus. The mission is kill bosses on Venus, get Intel from them about the black garden, find a strange anomaly in the black garden, destroy it and get more intel about where the vex planet machine is(this will be the story missions) back to the raid there are the three main split parts past, present, and future, using the 6 guardian raid group two people will go to each of these parts, all together in different time zones doing puzzles and stuff, when a boss comes guardians will be united, while rapidly shifting through time, fighting and destroying the bosses. I haven't thought of into names but the last one is called Pallidion The Core. He is the main mind of the vex in our solar system, destroy him, then loot stuff like vex armor and guns, the special exotic raid weapon is called the grand father clock, it's a scout rifle and has gears and stuff all over it(looking quite complicated) and it's perk is that it fires like a fusion rifle when held down and when let go all the bullets in the meg are release at once, it's slower that a normal fusion rifle so don't worry about one shoting in PvP, now like in The Taken King the swords, instead there are exotic shields, they charge fast and when let go king of do a shoulder charge, they protect you and can do a ground slam, they also swing but only do as much damage as your fists(but look super cool) they look vex like(of course) the way to get these is simple, do the raid and find 3 peaces, then get back to the tower and get a new step called The Dead Garden, this mission is only playable when doing this quest. And collect the mind, and exotic mission item, go back to the tower and wait till arms-day. Then you be given the mission the signal, all you do is go to the raid and kill 30 vex while using a shield frame you are given on arms-day once that's done you are given the exotic shield, now depending on what shield you get depends on what vex you kill: Hobgoblins:solar Minotuars:arc Harpyes:void Agin when you get the 30 kills depending when type of vex you kill, will give you the elemental shield corresponding. Back to the grandfather clock, the way you get it is by doing all the strikes with this update, there will be 3, then doing the return the the black garden mission(this version of the mission is only available doing the quest for the exotic grandfather clock(kinda like the feast thing for the Touch Of Malice)) then you will get the ClockWork a legendary version of this(looks kinda like the gun but no exotic perk and stuff) kill every boss in the raid and this will finish the quest. This update will bring a special knew crucible game mode called Spire Spire: vex themed plate in the middle of the map two teams fighting to stay on the plate long enough to build their vex spire and win the crucible match. I am still working out the armor and legionary weapons that will drop from the raid. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share ------------------------------------

War god's call Cabal Cayde's scouts have noticed larger amounts of Cabal dropships entering their main base on Mars. The vanguard asks the player to investigate. After entering the ghost hacks into the base suveillance and states there is a conference going on between the base cabal and the skyburners cabal. Ghost directs the player through a vent shaft and above the conference and ghost records everything (The player can read the whole conference ghost recorded in a glimmer card called 'spying'). The player falls through the shaft and one of the cabal triggers an alarm, the guardian quickly kills the conference cabal but has to esacpe the base without being spotted by reinforcing cabal, pulling up the ghost shows a map and many ways out but the player cannot run into cabal or game over, after the player makes it out. The ghost states before returning to orbit the cabal were talking about the return of the Cabal council and their Warlords. The player returns to the tower and informs the vanguard of this.
