Warlocks can hit with their melee before you get in range of your shotgun. Hunters can be invisible and also have 2 classes that can throw their melee. Hunters can track through walls and turn invisible. Warlocks get an extra grenade without an exotic. Want me to go on? Every class has it's special something. Stop whining

  • But none of those are a ohk melee. I'd trade my extra grenade for shouldercharge any day of the week.

  • Here's something you can't forget to mention. Warlock melee range is equal to max range shotguns unless they run the extended SC perk, which forfeits damage or chaining. Hunter camo makes noise which always lets you know that someone is in your area, unless it's used halfway across the map which in that case it runs out near you. As for their melee attacks. It isn't that you CAN throw them. It's that you HAVE to throw them. Meaning, that it's the only class capable of wasting their melee charge. Warlocks get an extra grenade without an exotic sure, because their other perks suck in that tree. That's really no one's fault. That said, the grenade has to be solar. Titans on the other hand, can shoulder charge at no cost. The move doesn't have a cooldown, can be charged on walls, has tracking, one hit kills, can be activated on ground or in the air, and has close to no punishable time on miss.

  • Does have a cooldown. Each use means it charges up on sprint slower the next time. And really those aren't even all of the perks other classes have. I can't say anything about warlocks because I don't play them often enough but as far as hunter goes they get ohk melee too that combed with invis can't easily be countered and although shoulder charge has those going for it there are numerous other perks I could list that have as many things going for it. Shoulder charge can be countered by: Map awareness(if you know someone is around the corner and you've been killed by sc before don't run around the corner) Shoulder Charge Shotgun Sidearm Fusion Every primary except long zoom scouts Stickies Tripmine throwing knife Blink Smoke because it stops the run effect. Backstab if you're close enough. Warlock melee twice(if the range is long enough. I can't say for certain.) ToF plus VF and then a one tap I'll edit the list when I think of more.

  • Hunters get a ohk melee that has to land behind someone and takes up to 20 seconds minimum to get recharged again. Tripmines can't stick anymore and any charging titan should be running lightweight/MIDA if they want to make the best of the ability. That would allow them to avoid any trip detonation. Jumping would make the throwing knife nonlethal as they've already been toned down. Blink works if you time it perfectly, but if they know that their opponent has it, all they need to do is wait for you to start coming down and catch your landing. Warlocks are incapable of meleeing you twice within the time it takes to charge. ToF VF is no longer able to kill in one hit either. The top counters are fine. It's not like I consider SC to be a huge issue. I just think it needs some slight tweaking.

  • I mentioned tof vf not because they can one hit but that they act like mini shadowshots. I mentioned tripmine and throwing knife as a combo because most people don't use sc as a primary capability for killing instead of their guns. and jump with bones or glide should last long enough for them to run out.

  • The cost of shoulder charge is that you miss you die. Also charging it up means you can't shoot or use any other ability. It's a risk reward type of ability. Against experienced players that watch their radar, you will get killed more often than not.

  • If you're an experienced Titan, you won't die. You can condition your opponent to be easier to charge. Flashbangs to blind them first, lightning or pulse grenades to keep them where you want them, and then you can cancel the ending with fist of havoc if your super is up. Also, you can always stop charging and use other abilities. There's nothing locking you into the charge until you actually attack them with it. Shoulder charge cancels into shotgun or melee faster than any other action in the game save sliding.
