I've heard many good things about the Hung Jury, but for PvP. Is it worth buying it, considering I'm a PvE oriented person, or is it a good scout only in PvP?

Great for PvE. There are better PvP scouts.

2 RepliesThe one Jalaal sells is a beast. I used it for a long time. Firefly made it great for PvE. Underdog had quite a few moments of triumph in Crucible. Definitely recommended.

Great weapon, I highly recommend it

For PVE, get yourself a full auto DIS-43 instead. Full auto DIS-47 for PVP
-
It's good for everything. https://youtu.be/Ue0zth6Trjc

Get it

The new vendor roll is garbage. Old vendor roll is an explosion causing laser. I think I have the old vendor Jury on my hunter. The only way to get those perks now is random luck on packages.

Its great for PVE! Omg who told you the opposite is true? Nobody says its great for PVP. PVP its only okay. Mida is better for PVP.

It's a good fit for PVE. It was my go-to before I finally got my Badger back. If you like scout rifles, it's one of the most useful out there.
-
The version before the April update was better... It's still decent, though
-
It's good in Pve pvp it only a meh

I'm waiting for the weekly reset to pledge back to dead orbit for this gun. I don't really like the perks with it right now. Because I want that triple tap.

One of the more popular and consistent Scout out there. There are other scouts that are better with the right God roll dependent for each play-style, but are horrific with bad rolls. Even with a bad roll on a HJ is good for most situations. I am not a good PVP, but enjoy it and getting better, just not good at it. Look for: 1- Triple tap for both. Rescue Mag or Life Support are sometimes good rolls for some. 2- Depends on play-style, PVP in tight maps I like Snapshot, Single point, Quickdraw. For Long maps I like any of the Range perks. PVE any stability or range perk. 3- I think any of the top perks are good. Triple tap with a Stability middle and Zen moment is Amazing on bosses. Firefly is beastly too. Grenadier, Simmering Flames, and The Armamentarium is non-stop grenades. PVP: Third Eye if you like to hard-scope, Eye of the Storm or Underdog. I don't think Surrounded or Danger close is good on a Scout, these are not close quarter weapons IMHO. I think Exhumed is fairly useless on weapons, I find its gone by the time you get back to the battle. But Second wind on boots is useful.

I just got it tonight, and played 1 game in crucible with it. Have yet to test it much in pve. Anyways, I'm wondering this same question.

I'd say yeah. It sports some pretty high base stability. It can roll some awesome sights. Plus, it's archetype is pretty solid for everyone in pvp
-
The pre nerf hung jury was far superior. Check my hunter if you want.
-
It handles pretty well in PvP. The OG Hung Jury before the April Update is the best one

love HJ. It's awesome rifle for pve for sure. I dont really do pvp stuff so I cant speak for that.

It's a good scout for both. Original year 2 vendor roll was a beast. Not sure what it is now.

Its a solid overall scout.
