I haven't bought TTK and I can't play nightfall, heoric, or weeklies, i can't use any legendarys or exotics I found, even though I was given several sterling treasures all which reward such items.
Also the stike playlist option that comes with dark below (I forget it's name), one of the reasons I bought dark below, is now gone and I can only do 1 level 20 strike and 3 crucible playlists, way less then what it was before the DLC came out, this frustrating have 3 level high level characters. Theres no reason that there needs to be this much content cut from the game so I don't understand why everyone who doesn't buy TTK is treated so poorly.
obviously bungie has lessen the number of vanilla strike and crucible playlists so as to smoothly intergrate the new content into matchmaking while keeping the playerbase condensed into a small number of playlists but lets be realistic the level 20 vanguard strike playlist is a massive 'f#ck you' to everyone who hasn't bought TTK and Bungie knew full well that the 3 crucible playlists non TTK players where left would be so poorly populated that a non TTK player could pretty much kiss pvp goodbye.

Let's be honest, bad management that a dlc makes an original game irrelevant. TTK should have been named Destiny 2.

This is unfortunately just how it goes, keep up or play a stagnant unappealing former self. Its really quite disheartening

4 RepliesSo you want all the perks of y2 gear and play lists without paying for it? Gotcha

Because you're over a year behind in an ever evolving online game.

4 RepliesI agree with the fact that without the taken King the game is quite a letdown, however with the expansion the game as absolutely fantastic. It is honestly worth the full price, it is Fantastic to play and you wouldn't regret buying it

This was never an issue for WoW. Idk why people have to make it an issue with Destiny.

Because the game is in Y2 (nearly Y3) at this point and anyone who wants to remain in Y1 by not paying for the update honestly is stuck with Y1 gear. No where did it state that they had to continue to support and provide those that do not continue to support them with items, etc. You are still able to play a good portion of the game with just a Y1 license. You are just locked out of modern rewards and end game content. With the fact that Best Buy/Fry's/Amazon has run TTK on sale for as low as $17.95; there is honestly no excuse other than being stubborn for you remaining in Y1. Other than to remain in Y1 so you can complain about being locked to Y1 gear/strikes/etc.
