Can we all agree that aim assist is getting out of hand?
Aim assist as I've known it, back when I used to play Halo on a daily and the old MW games on the 360, was when your aim would slow down to help you with shooting an enemy. No one ever noticed it, and was never really a problem to begin with.
With Destiny, however, there are so many weapon PERKS that help INCREASE aim assist on these weapons. There is an option to disable aim assist in-game, but there is no "off" switch for the guns. Many of these guns have perks like "Hidden Hand" that increase the weapon's target aquisition, or aim assist for that matter, by "curving" bullets to hit someone, without even aiming where you want the bullet to go.
I mean, take snipers for example. 1000-Yard Stare has one of the highest aim assist stats out of any sniper in the game. Then you add Hidden Hand on it. You go and shoot someone without even aiming at them and you still hit them. I know this is a MMORPG, but why is this acceptable? I've heard SO MANY players say they're good because of the weapon they use. With snipers, they say they can get head shots left and right without doing anything, then you look at that weapon's perks. The weapon has a huge range stat, hidden hand, and a scope/muzzle perk that increases aim assist to the next level. How is this skill? The weapon did 90% of the work. All you had to do was aim in the direction of your target and pull the trigger. So, again, how is this fair? I say try removing the aim assist perk in a later update. Let's see what happens. Maybe the so-called "good" players will start to struggle again. Maybe not.
People say guns kill people. Well it seems in this game, that is all too true. If a gun has its own separate stats that increase aim assist, then don't go around saying you have skill. Not saying you don't; I've seen my fair share of people who use weapons that have little to no aim assist and can dominate matches and carry players through the most difficult games. Have you seen someone wreck with NLB!? That shit gets me runnin'.

Idk lol I just checked its aim assist is at a base of 56 also didnt Her belevolence have way more? Nope it only has a base of 40. Rip

Halo has really high aim assist with sniper. You really can't say much about destiny snipers compare to a regular sniper in halo.

Aim assist on snipers [b][u]DOES NOT[/u][/b] cause bullets to curve even with hidden hand. On snipers, the aim assist slows down the reticle when it is on people so you have more time to pull the trigger. Hidden hand only makes this stronger. On primary weapons, aim assist does add bullet curvature, but it is only so you can have some sloppiness with your aiming. TL;DR Aim assist doesn't cause bullet curvature on snipers, only primary weapons.

Most snipers in year one had much higher aim assist, and they reduces it by about 20 points across the board for snipers. The base aim assist for the 1000 yard stare is 31, and the max is 63. Defiance of Yasmin has a base of 59 and a max of 69. The antinomy XVI sniper has a base aim assist of 69 and a max of 69. Both legendary onion snipers have a base aim assist of 31, the same as 1000 yard stare. Both Hakke snipers have a base aim assist in the 60s. Year 2 ldr has 39 base aim assist, and the longbow synthesis has a base of 43. The king of aim assist in this game, ladies and gentlemen, is the weylorans March. 54 base aim assist and 86 max aim assist. Hereafter has 60 base aim assist and 80 max aim assist. Patience and time has 50 base aim assist and 65 max aim assist. Oh, and. Zen meteor? It has a base of 80 aim assist and a max of 90 aim assist. The next time you try to make a claim, try to make it at least semi truthful. There are only 4 snipers in the taken king that do not have the same or higher starting aim assist, so check your facts next time. Also, aim assist on sniper does not equate to billet magnetism, target lock on or any of the such. Aim assist on snipers affects the slowdown of the reticle when it is moving over a target, that is all. If you're going to make an argument against something, at least try to look smart and have real evidence. And if anyone is wondering, I got my information from the destiny database.

AA on snipers doesn't bend bullets. AA on primaries does. Glad we cleared that up.

1k YS has only 56 AA, do your homework before talking about something you don't even know. And AA doesn't curve bullets trajectories on special weapons. You're just looking like a fool saying so many absurdities :)
