Yeah, they were realy the only choice, as fully grown ahamkara had spacial warping powers so strong only warlocks who were used to these powers(having the same powers themselves) could fight them. Hunters were known to track down the grown up ones though so the warlocks could fight them.

Just goes to show how much they didn't want another collapse. So much they had to wipe out space dragons, one if the coolest things I think I've ever heard of. It's really weird how the ahamkara are all like mini-travelers. They offer power (the golden age) for a high price (the collapse) imagine them running around. That would be a fantastic dlc. Like with skolas, but the nine letting ahamkara run wild instead.
