So, if you aren't saying they need to be nerfed, what would you have them do once they look at them?

Mostly just check the stats to see what shotguns are used the most and buff others so they're also competitive. if the numbers support my claim. I'm probably wrong but even on larger maps shotguns can be an issue. The other team can easily lock down a part of the map with them, for example pantheon is a very large map but has very narrow choke points that people tend not to think twice about going down them.

There are two major choke points that snipers can all but lockdown permanently: Waterfall and the very central portion of the map. The only real counter to that is a flank to the outside perimeter (adjacent to Waterfall) or a left or right swing (depending on where you spawn map wise) around the column in the center of the map....which basically avoids all sniper fire.

Shotguns all 1 shot if in their range. If you buff others, you end up with faster firing shotguns with high range. Where they need a buff is pve. If they are commonly used it's because people like to either camp corners or run and gun with them, just as the common use of snipers is because people like to kill from safe distance before engaging. The high impact ranged shotguns are going to be the go to for pvp. I don't think there is much to do for the others. I prefer faster firing shotguns for pve personally. But those are dangerous since they nerfed shotguns last because it still takes several shots to bring down shielded or yellow bar enemies. With the buff to fusion stability, if you time it properly you can melt a shotgunner before they can get in range. That's how it's intended. Fusions could possibly use a little more, but not much. I think they are pretty good right now. They seem to be pretty consistent, at least the high stability variants.
