Filefly VS Explosive round
This is for overall PVE and PVP
I know it depends on weapons, statistics etc but
decide, and discuss with the communities as this is going to be a close one.

5 RepliesWell, I always used to use firefly then read a Reddit post where tests showed explosive rounds were great in PvE. So I tried it and actually think it is better against mobs you can't one hit kill. Seems to get through them more quickly, but is just my impression.

For everyone saying explosive rounds do not add extra damage, please watch the video. Not mine, but it gets my point across perfectly.

I use both OG hung jury and a Badger CCL with explosive rounds and crowd control

Firefly is great for pve. Have a group of ads just headshot one take out 3 or four. Love it when "enemy moves against each other" and go to spawn point. It wrecks.

3 RepliesFirefly better in pve but fun to look at in pvp. Kinda useless but pretty. Explosive rounds is terrible in pve but can shred in pvp. Thats the way it works...

You have to get a precision shot for firefly so yeah PVE is good and easy but for PVP explosive rounds, you get more damage of your surroundings and the other opponents for PVP backs off every so slightly because of the impact... I agree with both of the first comments.

Reason is the firefly effect only appears on kill and its damage is not that that high let alone the flinch effect it causes is quite situational. The explosive rounds however procs every shot with a considerable damage bonus which NO enemy is immune to. That includes ads and bosses. Even in crucible firefly is of little help especially versus explosive rounds which even does the extra damage against other players to a degree. For me its explosive rounds hands down.
