First things first - I liked The Division a lot. Especially as an alternative to Destiny during its great Content Drought of 2016. The new Destiny update has brought me and others back and while the update is really just a facelift, I think Bungie did a nice job with it.
By comparison though - The Division has been broken as F. Unless you were exploiting the various glitches ad naseum, you can't step into the DZ without getting gang banged and one shotted. Considering how long the division was in development I'm amazed so many exploits existed and were not addressed prior to release. That said, the problems with the division will take a lot of work and creativity to solve. Even at its worst destiny was never this broken.
In the end, the experience with the division taught me to appreciate bungie a little more and to recognize how hard it is to make a perfect game.
See you all in IB.

I personally hate The Division, but fwiw, Destiny had a lot of way broken stuff: 1) pre-nerf Vex Mythoclast / Suros Regime / Thorn / Etc (PVP) 2) I could, literally, push both of the Raid bosses off their platforms to win a raid (PVE) 3) Loot cave. Nuff said. Loot cave. 4) I could make the main boss of a raid kneel before Zod, and stay there, while I cut him to shreds 5) Nightfall cheeses (too many to name) but example: get under the warsat on S.A.B.E.R. That's just to name a few of things that had Destiny completely broken. I agree with you for the most part, and certainly relate to the sentiment, but let's not make such grandiose statements about the history of Destiny :)

Edited by NeoReaper82: 4/27/2016 1:38:02 PMPlaying the Division. Where else would they be? FYI Destiny has been dead for over a year now.

Why even talk about this? I still play both. Enjoy both. Why does it matter....

5 RepliesHere we go again... You -blam!-ers are that starved for content you get wet when they allow you to play something you already own again. "But, but new light lvl" I'm not one of those "blah will kill destiny" guys but honestly, nothing in destiny comes close to the heart pumping I get in the DZ.

1 ReplyI've said it before, I'll say it again. Bungie will kill Destiny and they've done an excellent job thus far. The best part of this game is the app, which provides an amazing distraction during work hours.

This all speaks to the state of video gaming these days. Throw it out now and fix it later. Some games more then others, but the days of getting a full Working game is rare.

1 ReplyI don't know. Go ask one shot Ted.

Both games are dead bro. I only pop in on Tuesdays for TWO! minutes to see if I can get any spektar Titan armor, it looks pretty cool.

1 ReplyThe Division was scheduled to kill Destiny until it actually got released. Then we all realized that it's just a good game that's nothing like Destiny. One month or so later and it's dealing with problems unique to itself. It's important that games like The Division do well to keep Bungie on their toes.

They're still playing the division....where else?
-
Playing division perhaps? Doy

3 RepliesIt's funny coz in the division community, all they talk about is the division and destiny don't even get mentioned
-
I'm not gonna lie, I was one of those people who thought The Divisions was going to beat Destiny. For some reason, this game always pulls me back, and The Division is just a game to play when I'm REALLY bored.

1 ReplyPlaying the division, duh
-
I lost a lot of destint friends to the division, ds3, fallout 4, etc. I think maybe out of the 50 people I actually played a lot with during release, only 4 are left, maybe 4....
-
I never said that, but I did play the eff out of division and thought for sure it would be better. Then they broke it and now I'm here

I was just thinking the same thing

In the DZ!

1 ReplyThe only game that's gonna kill destiny is destiny 2

Playing The Division perhaps?

2 RepliesWhat are you talking about? No one plays Destiny anymore. Just like how nobody plays Call of Duty anymore, Titanfall killed it ... remember?
