Buff Nova Bomb and other weak supers in PvE
I main a Warlock so I only know for sure about Nova Bomb. The recent changes were great, but there is one thing that keeps me from not using Voidwalker for monsters rampage: the super.
It's a -blam!-ing super! A purple nuke but it does not do enough damage for the looks of it...
Buff Nova Bomb in a way that it can be more useful than let's say Radiance so we can have more options while playing PvE.

Oh please no. That thing has a bigger blast radius than fist of havoc and plus it can be thrown across a map. Nope, it's fine how it is.

Arc Blade is one of the worst offensive supers in PVE, IMO. Not only is the attack weak, but it's a melee, so there is an increase risk of dying due to the fact that you need to be close to enemies.

It sucks how in COE, when I throw a NB at a wizard with red health, she still has health to fight back but when I use black spindle on her head, she gets one shoted!! WTF

2 RepliesThe only way an uncreative team can inflate play time is by doing it artificially, ie; nerfs. Get used to it, after all this is Bunghole, and this is year two and a half. Year of the "Become Powderpuff", because "Become Legend" has come and gone bro!

Only three supers are actually good in pve. Defender Bubble, hunters bow and arrow, and the warlocks self res. Those are the three best super, not necessarily best subclasses.

It's a little surprising that the devs didn't try buffing Nova Bomb with the rest of Voidwalker. It's already a one-shot in PvP unless you use a sword (I think) or if you sidestep enough to take little to no damage. Buffing the damage would be a great benefit.

Nova Bomb is only good if you have certain weapons or one specific build. They're alright but blade dancer and gunslinger need buffs they're pointless when you have nightstalker as an option

2 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 4/21/2016 1:38:11 AMNova Bomb and Fist of Havoc should at least deal enough damage to kill a Major outright. Golden Gun should kill Majors with two shots minimum, while Arcblade should need no more than three swings.

1 ReplyAgreed. I like void walker for the grenades and melee in over or just having fun but you can't seriously use your nova bomb unless your just trying to generate orbs off a group of thralls or something.

Yeah nova bomb and gunslingers are quite underpowered in pve...when a super can't take down a 41 level yellow enemy...but two scatter grenades can...that's a problem

Don't forget about fist of havoc, Blade dancer, golden gun, and hammer of sol. (HOS used to be helpful until the nerf.)

3 RepliesBasically if a super can't kill a red health bar enemy in one super hit e.g. arc blade, golden gun, sunbreaker etc then it is under powered in PVE. If you can't kill one major by the end of the super, it's under powered. Golden Gun should do Nighthawk damage per hit. Arc Blade should be buffed to do 5x times damage per hit. Nova Bomb should do 5x damage. Defender grenades and melee should recharge faster when inside a bubble.

1 ReplyThe only things that actually act like a super in PvE is Defender (which is only a support class) sunsinger (because it only really has to do with ability cool downs and a slight buff), and shadowshot (again more so of a support class). Nothing else really feels [i]super.[/i]
