Do you all think that if we save exotic engrams, they when the new gear comes around, that the engrams we saved will have a chance to decrypt with the new gear? Thoughts?
-
Everyone this is what happens. For UPDATES. Exotics will have a chance to give new exotics. For new expansions/dlc no they won't as the engram does get time stamped to that dlc
-
2 RepliesAll time stamped. This topic comes up before every update.
-
Not saving exotic engrams, but I'm saving my marks, gonna keep my 200 stocked and I've got another almost 400 saved and waiting.
-
1 ReplyWhy bother by this time you should have so many strange coins or 3 of coins to by the new excotics or get them as a drop by just playing the new dlc anyway
-
I hope so.
-
You have nothing to lose by saving some and trying it. Look at it this way... if you save them for april 12th, and they turn out to be items that are currently available, then it means you would have received the same items sooner, rather than later. But, keep in mind that you will get rep increases and package drops will drop the new gear. I'm saving a mix of legendaries and exotics just for shits and giggles. I already have the weapons I want anyway.
-
It'll work. These are exotics already in the dlc just not available for decryption. Worked the last UPDATE , why not this time? Got my twilight garrison this way.
-
If you already have the current ones and are not trying to get 310s, then saving them is a "nothing to lose" scenario.
-
It worked when TTK came out sooooo try it
-
3 RepliesMy vault is full. So couldn't do it anyway.
-
3 RepliesEach expansion adds a new loot pool. So engrams from each DLC will decrypt into their respective loot table gear. Since we're getting an update in April, it's only gonna expand the current loot pool.
-
3 RepliesDoes anyone know if Exotic will start dropping at 320 or 330 level after being decoded?
-
2 RepliesI'm saving engrams like blues and purples so I can maybe get some new gear. If not I'll get a crypto package right away that may have something in it. But you know rahool he's stingy.
-
4 RepliesDoes anyone know what exotics will be released on this update!?
-
Be sure to have about 7-9 exotic leg engrams if they bring the new exotic legs. I have 10 and I'm planning to decrypt them on my Warlock.
-
13 RepliesTwo schools of thought. 1. Engrams are determined when they drop. 2. Engrams are determined when they decode. I am from the 2 school, so I'm saving all my Exotics. Either way I have all the current exotics that I care about, so if I'm wrong it's just more shards later.
-
Engrams are set when they drop. Don't save engrams, but saving packages might be a good idea.
-
I've got a dozen exotic and a few legendary waiting to go. I don't need anything else in TTK so why not
-
I have over 20 exotics saved just in case it works. I guess we'll find out.
-
6 RepliesHasn't worked in past updates I doubt it'll work this time. The only good that will come from it is ranking your cryptarch up. Which will drop New Gear
-
2 RepliesFor those who are saying "It won't work" It will work This is not a DLC, this is an update, I did it the last time they added exotics and it worked
-
1 ReplyWon't work. Though holding onto them for then to potentially turn into something over 310 (with light scaling and all that) might be a good idea. You won't get anything new but you might get higher light drops.
-
2 RepliesEdited by More Cowbell: 3/25/2016 3:53:22 PMIt worked with the last update. Five minutes after logging in I had every newly released exotic besides Tarantella. Drop rates seem better on the first day of new releases.
-
11 RepliesNo. They can only turn into current content
-
I've got about 20 exotic engrams waiting
-
I'm doing this too. I already have all of the exotics so what is there to lose right?
