4 RepliesCasuals and bad management.

Too much marketing costs. Not enough development costs. Least that's the rumor.

Edited by Erijian: 2/2/2016 5:31:47 AMI still don't get why people whine over old items or activities becoming irrelevant. This is typical MMO practice..It'll happen in The Divison as well.
-
Money, weak managers, the fact that all the good staff have left, weak community "managers" who reply only to show you dog videos, being "Bungie" in name only.....
-
It really was already in ICU in the beginning. They could not have agreed on story and fired probably the best writer they had... Money hungry activision...

Had an idea, lost touch half way thru, had to put something out, these guys did this for years, made a sick ass series before this, and completely made a 3 hour mmo lol

7 RepliesEdited by chickengoujohn93: 2/1/2016 11:15:09 PM- Year One made completely irrelevant - Nightfall Rewards getting worse... No substantial XP increase because they now split between Faction and Vanguard rather than one or the other, no Radiant Light. - 5000XP Vanguard Bounties getting removed - All strikes not being in one big playlist - The Strike playlist still continuing to give you the same strike in succession - Armor takes forever to level up (coincides with removal of 5000XP bounties and removal of Radiant Light) - No guaranteed way to obtain Strange Coins, rate of accumulation is slower than expenditure - Removal of Exotic Shards... people only bought them when they needed them and many really need them now! - Reducing Xur's Heavy Ammo pack from 5 to 3 (coincides with Strange Coins rate of accumulation) - The Infusion System... could right an essay about it - Ghost Shells and Class Items not being cosmetic - The Raid not striking the balance of being challenging and fun at the same time, instead just pure tedium due to incompetence of others or the fact that it is just a laggier Raid than VoG and CE combined. - A Raid run can be very unproductive with the RNG it takes to drop stuff you want followed by the RNG that decides the Light Level of it - Removal of Elemental Primaries making no incentive to play the Raid - Lag in both PvE and PvP still being an ever increasing issue 15 months later - Too many new Exotic weapons handed on a plate to players. Game is essentially shoot and loot. When you have all the Exotic weapons in the first three weeks why bother shooting as in continue playing? - Lack of developer-playerbase interactions
-
It got worse when they tried to solve the complaint "I got everything good in the game, make more content Bungo!" by making it almost impossible to get the gear you want.
-
3 RepliesToo much focus on pvp. Making content irrelevant. Bungie punishing players by making their gear rubbish for no reason. Bungie constantly dictating how the community plays the game. Weekly updates pvp, pvp, pvp enough said. Microtransactions. Not enough communication with the community. There you go
-
5 RepliesI honestly feel bad for people who only do PvE at this point they must be sooo bored of the same strikes
-
2 RepliesThey fired everyone who had good ideas and knowledge
-
1 Reply1. Lag/Latency from P2P connections 2. Frequent and pointless nerfs to weapons that never really needed a nerf. 3. People who constantly complain about a super, which gets them nerfed eventually. 4. Bungie actually listening to the complainers rather than the players who know what's good or what isn't good for the game. 5. Lack of communication. 6. Cut content..
-
Self important whinging asshats calling for everything to be nerfed, bungle doing a terrible job of said nerfs, the empty promises of dlc, Activision, p2p connections.......
-
3 RepliesHey Destiny, are you an MMO? No. Oh, okay. Hey, I'm going to cut content from year 1 and/or make it irrelevant for a new year! What!? Why? Cause that's what MMOs do! (My reason as to why this game fails)
-
5 RepliesEdited by JTAssassins: 2/2/2016 4:05:45 AMLol "failure" tbh I've moved on to other games but if you call this franchise a failure you're not being honest with yourself.

The people that enjoy PvP.

1 Reply75% of the original team is working on Destiny 2
-
.04% of Bungie employees actually caring
-
7 RepliesAll the people who still play Destiny regularly. I mean, Destiny is a successful game. It has one of the most consistently high population numbers for a console game released more than a year ago, and if it is so "broken" like these forums make it out to be, than clearly those other players wouldn't still be playing Destiny. Except, that hasn't happened, because a forum only represents maybe 10% of a game's total playerbase, and therefore any attempt to boycott Bungie will be utterly futile.

10 RepliesI get that a lot of other online RPGS reset their top tier gear with each new expansion.. but honestly destiny required so much of a grind to get top gear and what not in year one that no one wanted to do it again in year two, especially when there are no huge dlcs coming out in year 2. Imo it makes it not worth it, though I've started back up for IB and the new event coming up

Acting like shady dealers. Laughing on how bad they "cut" the content and everyone ate it up. Toned it down a bit, but you get the point. Kinda reminds me of Grandmas boy for some reason.
