•Stop trying to baby people.
•Stop trying bell curve the average PVP K/D to as close to 1.0 as possible
•Stop lying lol
•Stop telling us things after the fact
•Stop hyperbolizing your promises
Honestly, just keep it cool and keep it clean, go back to the roots.
You know what guys, grab a chair and scoot a little closer, let me drop some opinion here
So to build on the first point "Babying People", when the people cry nerf, why choose to annihilate the weapon? Is it a play to subconsciously force people to change up their play style and experiment with other load outs while our once beloveds burn in purgatory (until they're much, much, much, much, much later brought back to a considerably acceptable level of nerf)? Is it simply because you guys don't want to deal with it right away and rather work on the kinks without hearing the complaints? Or is it because you seriously think that nerfing a weapon to the point where it's somewhere between "completely unusable" and "a shell of its former self" is acceptable? Either way... Come on... Like seriously. If you put almost everything back to how it was initially save for a few changes everything would be in my opinion (and I'm sure many others) perfect.
Let me break it down
Auto Rifles:
Leave them as is. As of this current moment they are s00per solid (Save for the Low RoF, High Impact, they still need to either stagger harder or hit harder by a bit)
Hand Cannons:
These are all absolute doodoo unless you manage to get a god rolled one of a select few (Eyasluna, Finnala's Peril, Uffern) plz buff
Pulse Rifles:
Return them to their late Year 1 Glory, they were fine, maybe nerf a TINY, as in NOT LARGE, amount of damage off the high impact ones (Messenger <3, Hopscotch, etc)
Scout Rifles:
Also very good the way they are. One suggestion is a slight buff to the base stability on the High RoF Scouts (Inward Lamp, NL Shadow)
MIDA:
Leave it alone, for God's sake, LEAVE IT ALONE!
Hawkmoon:
Restore it to its former glory, allow Luck in the Chamber to stack with 1 Holding Aces Shot (only 1, not both! I'm not trying to walk into a room and get clapped at full health)
Thorn:
As much as I hate to say it this little devil can go back to NEAR what it was, only change I'd suggest is Guardians running high armour should survive with a similar amount of health as being hit with a tripmine explosion, whilst low armour guardians can proceed to be 2 tapped (don't cry about it, Hawkmoon and First Curse can do it too)
Nercrochasm:
While its a contender now I still think it needs a smudge of a buff to impact or stability because the Doc still outclasses it in every way. Let's be real, who has ever gotten a kill with the explosion, much less even done damage.
Universal Remote:
Chaperone range kills when the reticle is encasing the head and upper centre mass (Don't be a baby, snipers can kill you from across the map and dot attack me, I'm a sniper -____-... Just being fair)
Chaperone:
Extended headshot kill distance. You're shooting a slug for god's sake. It's pretty much a No Land with a higher RoF. Like I bet if they reshaped the model and classified it as a sniper and gave it some flavour text saying "The energy that fuels this unstable sniper only allows its bullet to travel so far" no one would complain
All Exotic Pusle Rifles:
Rebuff based on my General Pusle Rifle Guidelines
Suros Regime:
Make it literally exactly how it was in the beginning but keep Spinning Up as an option :)
Monte Carlo and Hard Light:
Rebuff based on General Auto Rifle Guidelines
<3 The Last Word <3:
Increase everything but the range back to year 1 levels, but come on either add a bit of range or make the hip fire more dependable, that is all, thank you
<3 Snipers <3:
This ones a bit complicated
Low Impact:
Headshots are the only way to 1 shot
High aim assist
High clip size
High reserve Ammo count
Mid Low Impact:
Headshots are the only way to 1 shot
Mid High Aim Assist
Mid High Clip Size
Better Passive/Active Perk Options
Mid High Reserve Ammo Count
Mid High Impact:
Headshots 1 Shot
Body Shots on Low to Mid Armour in Upper centre mass can 1 shot
4 Shots in Clip
Mid Low Reserve Ammo Count
High Impact:
Headshots 1 Shot
Body Shots to Upper Centre Mass 1 shot
Bolt Action or 1-2 Bullets in the clip
Slow weapon handling
Slow reload
Low Reserve Ammo Count
Special Pickups give 2-3 bullets only
Shotguns:
Conspiracy Theory range should be the high end standard
All shotguns without the range and impact of a Conspiracy Theory/Felwinters should have wicked active perks that greatly increase mobility to assist closing the gap or armour to assist survival.
Machine Guns:
All Machine Guns should be granted over penetration, I've died too many time because I walked into a group of 4 people that I had the jump on and I don't even kill one because the aim assist pulls my aim to different people and they all team shot me
Rockets:
Meh, they're fine
Bolt Grenades:
Axiom = Fine
Bolt = Rebuff to year 1 level
Fire = Lower the damage of Viking Funeral but keep the length (to mitigate recovery)
That's my idea of combat balancing. Moving on
Point Number 2 "The Bullcurve"
Why are you guys bellcurving the K/D's by ruining the way people like play? Some people are bad, they need to deal with it, most people start out bad until they become good, others are good from the start, others may never be good but that's what comes with this type of this, you can't seriously force people to play the game just to have a sweaty bloodbath during every match, some matched should just be chill yes you can match based off skill too, but make a separate playlist for that. Pubstomping is a thing, it happens, whatever. With the new "breaking up teams" implementation then at least the same team isn't being pubstomped continuously by full fireteams. Leave the public matches to random queuing based off connections guys.
Point Number 3 "Liar Liar Pants on Fire"
Don't lie to us, don't bend the truth, don't twists words, just tell it like it is, simple.
Point Number 4 "Oh, I forgot to Mention"
Please cut that out, don't do something then tell us after, treat us like the community we are. Here is an example
"Hey Guardians, we have a little test coming up, Lord Shaxx wishes to closely inspect the guardians of the crucible and determine which tools of war (and wielders) will one day be worth of a Crucible Bounty. Select the "Born in Iron" option in the crucible menu to take part in testing, regular participants will be rewarded!
Some rewards include:
Strange Coins
Infinite Weapon Parts for 1 week
Motes of Light
Exclusive Emblems for those who put their best foot forward
Legendary Marks
May your deaths be few and kills be plenty"
How hard is that to include us? We're the ones who play your game remember?
Point 5: "Next Issue will be Bigger, Badder and BOLDER!"
Don't hype things up if you're not gonna going to be living up to it, moreover, don't promise a steady string of content if a) it's not going to happen b) if it means implementing a microtransaction system c) it's going to be stuff like a Halloween or Valentines event that involves doing nothing out of the norm.
That is all fellow guardians, love it, hate it, abhor it or like it, it's my opinion and I think it would make the crucible wicked
(Also I apologize for the inevitable bad grammar and spelling mistakes, I didn't edit this at all I wrote it at work lol)
