Ever since (from my observations) the planet destiny podcast where they started complaining about thorn again they have mentioned further removal of year one weapons to restricted year one playlists.
I'm seeing this gain traction now. Personally I'm very against this. They shouldn't be relegated to unpopulated playlists because people are bored of seeing them. Especially because if you really think about it how many weapons are you even complaining about 2? 3 maybe? They can still be altered as my now useless felwinters can attest. Don't strip even more content from this game. There's barely any as it is.
Leave them as they are. I have less than a year to enjoy them.

1 ReplyI still love to pull out universal remote and Lord of wolves. They're just fun to use. If you're going to make all y1 weapons obsolete there should be equal or even better weapons in y2. I get the feeling that most guardians find y2 weapons a little lackluster.

1 ReplyYou know they will do this every year from now on just to make us grind more.

5 RepliesI'd love to see Thorn restricted. I actually went against a Trials team that ran Thorn. They lost because of the low damage value, and they were so bad they couldn't win without a high light level Thorn. It's a crutch. Same with Felwinter's Lie. Get into Y2 already.

2 RepliesThey aren't removing more year one gear, they're time gating it.

4 RepliesI hate Planet Destiny ever since that ignorant fanboy Popebear, invited himself into their podcast and they started streaming.

4 RepliesFel winter is still a great shotgun, but I agree with you, I find myself playing more and more POE just for a chance to get yr1 legendaries. Bungie will continue to cut content thou, despite what they said about not wanting our favorite weapons becoming obsolete.

2 RepliesThis is the only MMO-Like game I've ever played where planned-obsolescence isn't truly obsolescence. If y1 is supposed to be obsolete then it should be obsolete. If it's going to remain viable in any y2 capacity then it needs to be brought up to y2 standards.
