Refer a friend issue
What is the order of actions that needs to happen to get this bonus content? I bought the game for my friend a few weeks ago with the intention of referring him, he played all the way to Taken King so I sent the refer code because I was under the impression he had a full 7 days after playing the Taken King dlc to accept the refferal and we'd both get the new content.. But nope! He got the "oops" error because it said he already played the Taken King. Well... Duh he has, I thought you had to in order to qualify at all. I don't get it and now I've wasted so much time, money and energy for nothing. Can a bungie mod please send me some help on why this isn't working or a way we can remedy our problem!

1 ReplyHi there, To qualify as a referee in the Refer-A-Friend program, a player must own Destiny: The Taken King expansion. The 7 day time limit on referee status begins as soon as they purchase and play Destiny: The Taken King expansion on their account. Playing through the Taken King content, story, or quests is not a pre-requisite for referee status.
