IB Control is unfair for solo players
iB Clash should remain. It is equal opportunity. Fireteam stomping is a bullshit strategy to employ during Iron Banner.
The problem is that premade fireteams can very easily hold two zones against an uncoordinated random team. Teamshot kills everything, and even if you manage to wipe them off of a zone, they just come back. And your uncoordinated team isn't going to give you a second opportunity to remove them again.
Premades should only get matched against premades. It's an unfair advantage when playing against solo players.

I cue solo all the time. I play a defender, and armor of light. If my team is decent I swap to blessing as they are more like to use the buff just as I do. Some matches I keep armor light on as I have to rely on only a few or no players on my team to capture and control points. A competent defender that can give hp buffs to an entire team is game changing. Unfortunately I see so many matches and no one even runs into the shield to even see if they have a free over shield. These are normally the same people who complain about scorch,radiance, and sunbreakers. If you see a bubble check and see what it might give you.

1 ReplyWho cares man? I only play with randoms. Sometimes I'm lucky to end up in a good team next match it's only a bunch of headless chickens running around. Have some fun, make the best of it and get some good loot. Even losses count so I don't see the problem. It's only a game.

Its not unfair at at all. I don't always have a fireteam and manage to get wins. Don't know how long you've been playing control, but the name of the game is what you have to have to be successful. You have to be able to adapt to the game youre in. You cant care about your kd, or picking up heavy... its about controlling the zones, the flow of the game and your playstyle. You might be a killer, but you cold be on a team of killers and it might not matter if youre not capping zones, so you may need to lay back and pay attention to what zones are open or being capped while others do work. If you need two zone control to come back or seal a win and they call heavy, cap the zone if need be. Bounties can be completed in the flow of the game. So don't be thirsty and get those wins. Playing with random people can be frustrating, but in the end it will make you a better player if you want it to cause it will get you to learn little things like this. Good luck

If you don't like rng rewards, you purchased the wrong game. If you don't like investing a lot of time, you purchsed the wrong game.

A pug will get stomped in clash by a premade too. I do agree that pugs should face pugs and premades should face premades. There are a lot of premades that love stomping pugs though, so they would moan about being matched to other premades.

3 RepliesDestiny is really designed as a multi-player game. So kinda pointless to complain that you, as a solo player, are at a disadvantage. Of course you are; working as intended. This would be the same in clash. You can't tell me a fireteam of 6 running together, coordinating supers, wouldn't beat most teams of randoms running around in silent groups of 2. Go make some friends, be social, get/play with a clan, etc. This reminds me of the posts when people used to complain that they couldn't do raids solo and were locked out if end game content because of it.

Its actually not because of the medallions. Ive played a ton of solo while waiting for friends to log on and have never lost 6 in a row.

MORE THAN ONE GAMETYPE FOR IRON BANNER COULD YOU IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES But in all seriousness it feels like Bungie is doing everything wrong to increase the longevity of Destiny. And I hate it. They've missed the mark on just about everything and I feel like the only thing they ever did right was during the VoG days. Y'know when people enjoyed the game... Instead of going silent for almost a month listen to the community and actively make changes to the game... It's getting to the point where I'm starting to believe the "Bungie doesn't care about us, only our wallets and how much they can get out of it before we call quits" mentality

Won 9 of 14 yesterday as a solo. The first 3 I was laying on the ground at an angle to the TV (back treatment issues) and I was totally sucking (0.33 kds).

Play as a team as much as possible and observe what your team is doing. Also, look at the menu and see which players are in a team, stick to the largest team and again, observe, follow, support and blitz where and when you can. They're not stupid, they would observe what you're doing and follow up with support. If not, leave and try again.
