(BS means bullshit not body shots. Confusion on that apparently)
Well guess what? That's too high. Why no one can admit that is beyond me. When I'm playing with people in reality half of us admit it "I don't know how I got two headshots there" under heavy fire half the time and just press L2 and R2 quick and get a kill. Hell you can even call it out. Almost feel that your gunna hit some bs quick scope. Because as long as multiple people are near each other in a hallway in this game you're hitting at least one. Most likely both. Ever seen so many triple and double kill feeds with sniper headshots in every other game? No. But even I can do it in this game. Every trials player can admit it while playing and they see some bs snipes whether they or the enemy did it but no one on the forum can admit it.
TL;DR if you're actually a good sniper you would want the aim assist reduced so your skill actually gave you the advantage over shit snipers like me. Cuz right now the entire community thinks they're good at sniping. I would be quite glad if I couldn't snipe against them if it was only the truly skilled snipers but right now I can and that's with little to no regular sniper use
Ps as many have pointed out I'm being lenient it's more like 50 percent bs shots
Edit: this is from the article everyone cites when they're like "do you even know aim assist blah blah" when the guy who wrote it has no coding or anything really but even he explains here that the bullet magnetism is not non existent as most of you claim. The high aim assist give severe slow down and that along with even a little bullet magnetism and large hit boxes which he also cited make it too easy for novice snipers. If you're good at sniping you shouldn't want people like me getting cheap snipe kills off you plain and simple
"Within the video it is explained that there is almost no noticeable difference with and without the perk hidden hand with regards to reticle slowdown (basically with a lower or higher aim assist value). He shows that there IS a noticeable difference in bullet magnetism with an increase in 30-50%, but this is with a very high zoom scope, so the actual difference is like previously mentioned, almost unnoticeable."

I confess I have used the efrideet's spear with final round and the eriene luck in the chamber one.

Snipers don't have bullet magnetism, there is at least two videos that prove this.
-
1 Reply20% really? And where did you pull that number from?
-
Check my Xbox feed if u can. One of my latest vids has the most bs triple snipe in trials I've ever seen.
-
2 RepliesI have several videos of me getting headshots while aiming at a dude's chest. Only noticed that kind of pull with a 1000 yard stare. Also, I'm getting headshots on people who are clearly behind walls after I pull the trigger. Not sure if that's magnetism or just lag, but it's happening.

Played control last night and went to capture B on that one Venus map, but glanced toward C. Looked like a damn horror film with all those red eyes peering at me from the bushes.
-
Do you people not understand that it's been a -blam!-ing year and people have been using snipers since launch. They've probably mastered them by now
-
20% is accurate
-
Yes. I have 2 PvP sniper kills, and one of those was a body shot.
-
Earlier today I jumped with my Defiance of Yasmin and hit someone in the leg and saw +150 kill +200 2x Control +10 Headshot Thx bungo

Yes In fact, all of them are
I'm pretty bad at sniping in general
I was on crossroads (the one where the portals can make you fly from island to island) and I went through one and was flying to the bigger island, so I 360d and quick scoped and for some reason I killed someone

Yep, all bodyshots. Should've typed out, "Bullshit" instead.
-
Yea this is stupid I shoot the floor and get a head shot

2 RepliesCan we get some evidence of this skill you have? You say you can get tons of headshots yet have provided no evidence to support that. If you think AA is going to effect skill then you must've been dropped on your head as a child. Try sniping someone like SirDemetrious, TrueVanguard, Kjhovey, etc and then you can talk about how AA "narrows" the skill gap. It is extemely easy to snipe blueberries that have no communication and have never played against competitive opponents. Anyone who has participated in a sweaty knows that it is entirely different then regular crucible. The only change snipers need is for Bungie to increase the stagger caused by HCR. By increasing HCR effects you are giving someone the ability to challenge snipers. However, when selecting this perk you have to give up other possible stability or range boosts.

Yeah some snipes are shady haha.
-
You do know aim assist doesn't affect bullet curve right?
-
2 RepliesYa some of my snipes are bs, although I wouldn't say 20%. It's not because of aim assist though, it's because lucky shots/quick scopes/jump shots happen when you snipe a lot just from luck. AA actually has no bullet magnetism from snipers and has no effect on hit box size, so it's main utility is hurt making drag scopes easier because it slows your reticle as it moves over a target.
-
I miss my Praedyths... That thing had no aim assist and I actually felt in touch then... Now I use 1000 yard stare and I hesitate on my shots.
-
My definition of bullshit snipe is oh shoot let me aim and fire randomly and how convenient that the reticule was naturally a headshot.
