I'm mad I got the taken King when it came out on PS3 the edition with all the goodies, and few months later I get a ps4 and they're like oh ok you can use your characters your raid gear and all your exotics but, until you spend another 40 you can't get gear to drop at your level. This is stupid especially when I can hit 311 on my hunter

15 RepliesWhat if I told you that Bungie removed the best weapons in the game from year 1, example gjallarhorn, thorn, vex mythoclast, ice breaker etc etc etc, then they will introduce a micro transaction system that also has RNG ( remember the halloween skull and those random sparrows ). Anyways, after the slow introduction of masks that do nothing, then sparrows that do nothing, then a record book that gives you armour that has light level, then a $45 AU spark of light to level up and soon Activision will sell you guys year 3 gjallarhorns and ice breakers etc. it will all be sold with silver but with the same RNG system. And don't you blaming dare tell me that it will then be game changing. Because I think giving someone an instant subclass which allows for a super ability, grenades, and sometimes 2 grenades, long range melee etc is far more game changing than giving them gjallarhorns and ice breakers etc. what I'm saying is, it affects me in every way. I like collecting my exotics, how would you feel if Bungie exploits our addiction to the game and starts selling them through RNG silver? I won't buy them no matter what, and cause I can't have them unless I pay, I will start to hate the game. Example the cool hollow wen skull and the solar, void and arc sparrows. By the way, I'll be also complaining to the fair trading, ccc, ombudsman and so on, I'll even make a class action as Bungie is allowing gambling in their blamed up game, a game that is for teens and they don't even warn you about the risks and they have no gambling licences. If you think I'm talking s h it. Go look up the definition of gambling and come tell me that allowing RNG for real money is not.

I know what you mean besides TTK being the laziest "expansion" I have ever seen in the history of gaming I always get annoyed when micro-transactions (which belong in freemium games not AAA titles)get introduced. I knew it would slowly creep into other aspects of the game. Sure this boost is not game breaking and frankly a waste of money but the point the OP is making is you all said "it's only cosmetic" then you said "it's only $10" and as of this moment it's "it's not game breaking it does not affect me" I find it absolutely amazing how blind some of you are. It's one thing to like a game it's a whole different thing to be blind to the micro-transactions creeping up into other stuff. Bungie themselves said only cosmetics. As you can see it's not, they lied to you. The very consumers that pay their salaries. If anything it's really a slap in the face to you guys who still play. Bungie has forgot their place and have a bit of a god complex it's going to be a long fall off the top. TLDR: I know exactly what you mean OP

9 RepliesIt's Hardly Pay2win is it.... It's a Spark of Light, a single Subclass Boost, and some Telemetry items. It doesn't have any bearing or impact on their skill as a player, and they don't receive a single Exotic/Legendary Armour or Weapon.... Chill out mate... If there are people dumb enough to purchase it, then let them, it's not gonna make them better than you

3 RepliesWhile Bungie did say that Eververse would be only cosmetics, this spark is not sold through Eververse, so they did not lie. Also, boosting to level 25 is in no way an advantage in game, other than having your subclass more upgraded. That being said, having an upgrade subclass and being at 25 faster does not make up for pure skill in game. They're not selling weapons, armor, or anything that affects your ability to compete against other players, so if people are willing to waste $30 to save a few hours, be my guest. Should the day come that this game actually becomes pay to win, I will then have an issue with it. But this isn't pay to win, it's just laziness at the core.
