In Destiny. This is what I would do for the story. I'm going to split this into parts. [b]Prologue[/b] We are in peace time, we aren't being threatened. We are taking back colonies on the moon and Venus. The vex are still a problem on Venus but the hive have been exterminated (to our knowledge) and the fallen seem to be in hiding. The city is thriving. We now have the combined resources of the moon and Venus. We have cleared out the dreadnaught and we are now using it as a base in the rings of Saturn. We now set our sights on reclaiming Mercury and securing Venus. Mars is still under control of the cabal and they are holding their ground. New gaurdians are coming in from around the solar system. After all this is introduced the story cuts to the city. There is a festival, celebrating our heroic acts. [b]Part 1[/b] Your guardian is celebrating. You are apart of the parade moving through the city streets. (The people in your fireteam are also being celebrated). You are being commended on the leaders and armies you have destroyed. The parade brings you along to a ceremony where you are given medals for your valor. During the ceremony the speaker gives a speech about your achievements. "Residents of the city! We are in a time of peace! We are no longer in constant fear of losing the city! We have pushed back the darkness. Taking with it many of our worries. This couldn't have been done without this guardian who stands before you. He/She and his/her fireteam wiped out all that stood before them! They stormed the vault of glass and battled the being who could control time. They went down into the hellmouth, they went into the dark and killed the son of a god. They went after the traitor kell, they killed the savage and relentless skolas, who was a plague upon the system. Then came the nightmare of a god. This demon wanted revenge on us for killing his son. His super weapon destroyed the awoken fleet and killed both the queen and her brother. Despite the odds they took the dreadnaught by brute force. They killed a god and sent him into the depths of Saturn. We are grateful to have guardians like you. Who defend this city and the solar system from its enemies. Who protect the traveler from the darkness, it's ancient enemy. We are grateful that you, Warriors of the light, are our protectors." The crowd erupts with applause and you and your fireteam bow. You then head back to the tower as the city continues to celebrate. When you arrive at the tower Ikora and Cayde are there to greet you. They shake hands with you and congratulate you. Ikora then walks back to the vanguard hall. Cayde stays and talks with you. "So how was the ceremony? I know the speaker always has something to say." You say "It was great, of course. And yes the speaker spoke highly of me and my fireteam. Made me feel proud to be a guardian." Cayde says " Good good. And yes you should be proud. You did more than any guardian in this tower. And because of that me and the vanguard want to promote you. We want you to become a member of the vanguard. You'll be in charge of leading our assaults on the darkness and taking back our planets. How does that sound?" You say "I... I... Wow. I don't know what to say. Cayde says "Yeah it's a lot to take in. But you got the talent. That and the vanguard has your back. More just me because I want to get out of the tower. In all seriousness though we have your back." "I know. So when do we star-", you are interrupted by the sound of gunfire and shouting. You and Cayde run to the vanguard hall. You run past shaxx, who has been knocked out, and you run past the guards who are dead. You run into the hall and you see Ikora and Zavala held hostage by fallen. Cayde starts shooting the fallen but he is shot with a stun gun. You have many guns trained on you. You decide to surrender and lay down your arms. One of the fallen, a captain, starts to speak. He says "Are you guardian, kill skolas?" You don't speak. You wait a moment before slowly nodding. "We, are house Devils, house winter, this is what you call us yes?" You nod again. "We, Eliksni, want great machine. You want great machine. We were fighting. We want fighting to stop. We want help. We need help." Cayde says "Help? Why? Why would we help you?" The captain responds "You destroy us, our armies. Our leaders. But we need help. And we want great machine. House of kings didn't want your help and are fighting on their own. Something has been killing our troops. We think it's coming for you, for city." You ask "So you want us to help you fight the thing killing your comrades?" The captain says "Yes. And we want to use the great machine's power once more." Comment or bump if you want part 2.
