EDIT: I got to 300! Trials gave me a 302 inward lamp. Thanks everyone for the responses!

Trials, IB, and the raid. Easiest ways to get above 300
-
1 ReplyPoor guy never knew the #forever29 struggle
-
Guess you missed this last IB. Got about 5 or 6 drops over 313... and a few between 300 and 305
-
2 RepliesAs someone who leveled up over 300 sans the raid or iron banner, I can say that court of Oryx is your friend. Just place the runes to ensure you maximize your engrams, and wear your highest light gear as many auto decrypt. Eventually you will be something you can infuse and hit 300. The reciprocal runes can easily be done solo.

4 RepliesWhy so scared of the raid??
-
1 ReplyDo. The. Raid. It's so simple.

For anyone still looking to break 300, the exotic sword is a good way to go. They drop at 310 and they don't require LFG. It's a fairly time consuming quest though. The last strike u have to run has matchmaking although it is definitely made easier if u can coordinate everyone to be going for the same sword. The iron banner is now also a good way to get high light items that will get u up there without LFG. Other than those, it's the raid and trials.
-
Yo ill do the raid with u bro...I did my first at 296 and it was pretty easy...I only died to wiping
-
IB ON MULTIPLE CHARACTERS
-
I know what you go through!! Have to play solo and it took me forever to get past 299!! The nightfall did it for me and then iron banner...
-
3 RepliesIf you do the normal raid 1 time, and you have the right quests available, you'll come away with a 310 ghost shell and a 310 artifact. I also scored a 305 primary. Previously I did the quest that rewards the 300 fusion rifle or shotgun and the exotic sword quest. My primary character is now at 302, my other two characters that have not run the raid are 298 and 299.
-
1 ReplyJust saying, but if you don't want to participate in end game content is there any point other than some cheap sense of satisfaction in getting to the max light level?
-
2 RepliesTime to do fallen king raid my friend. You will not get pass 300 doing strikes or court of Oryx (I might be wrong). Raids will give you 300+ gears and weapon. At 299, you're more capable of doing normal.
-
2 RepliesI got my Hunter to 305 without doing the raid. Although I moved passed 305 thanks to Iron Banner. The best way for you get over 300 in your current situation is to get an exotic sword! A 310 exotic sword will push you up over 300+.
-
2 RepliesThere really isnt any other way to get 300+ gear outside of the raid unless you play IB or Trials
-
Edited by uh oh stinky: 11/30/2015 4:23:54 PMIron banana and trials. 298 to 307 because of those two.
-
I was stuck on 298 and unable to do the raid. Then the IB came along and I heard people were getting drops over 300. So as much as I suck at pvp, I decided to grind it. I was rewarded with a 310 chest piece and once I reached IB rank 5, a 310 ghost. This pushed me over the 300 mark and I'm now currently 307.
-
Exotic Sword and you're done. It's easy, but takes a few hours of grind. I'm going my third when arms day comes next week.
-
2 RepliesIron Banner when it comes back. I went from 306 to 310 because of that.
-
Simple.. iron banner, trials, nightfall, and weekly crucible. I have 307 hunter and 310 warlock without doing raid.
-
It's funny people tell you to get an exotic sword. "It will boost you to over 300," they said. An exotic sword is a temporary solution to the problem. You're not gonna be using an exotic sword 24/7. IB, nightfall, and raid. Basically all end game content.
-
Like other people are saying... Get an exotic sword, then start grinding out exotic engrams, only decode them at 300 or higher light, they may drop at 310 if you're lucky
-
Without the raid? Trials and iron banner (when it comes around), also nightfall and weekly crucible bounties can help you if you're lucky.
-
Without dong the raid the only way is strikes and especially the nightfall
-
Quit being a scrub and do the raid.
-
Oh and complete the exotic sword quest for a 310 sword
