English
-
Skill is needed to win in Halo, not $
-
"Pay to win" Explain how I had a 2.0 k/d in a warzone game without even using a BR, let alone a req.
-
PSfgt thinks he knows anything about Halo, It isn't pay to win, You'd know that, If you did, But you don't.
lol
-
Halo 5 is not pay to win. If you think it is then you are clearly basing your opinions off of biased reviews.
-
dude the fact its RNG packs for which you pay real money for. gameplay matchmaking and the rest sound great. but RNG packs for guns and TEMPORARY CARDS in a competitive fame is a joke
-
You can earn the cards too, and they are only used in one gamemode.
-
You read too many buased articles. You can purchase it or play a handful of games n get the same shlt.
-
how long for gold pack then ? or 2.99 and whats the chance of getting smth good?
-
You know that's only in one pvp mode right?
-
yes but halo is pvp. campaign is 4-5 hrs

Edited by gistoffski: 10/31/2015 4:06:07 PMIt's 4-5 hours on easy/normal difficulty rushing through it. And yeah pvp is the followup in which the micro transactions you speak of affect only 1 pvp mode. Out of about 8 or so. The only way micro transactions are even present in the other modes is cosmetics. And even still the consumables that can be acquired by micro transactions can't even be used immediately in a game of war zone. You have to do well without them to be able to use them later Not to mention there will be no paid dlc. Everything that comes out later will be free to whomever purchased the game.

Edited by ZvSpid: 10/31/2015 4:12:45 PMthat does not change that everything is locked behind RNG and paywall. You will never be as good as person who spends money on this game. Everybody is mad at EA that they introduce this BS to their games like BF and sports games. But when halo and microsoft does it its ok because its halo. No its not. Not to mention everybody knew its gonna sell like hot cakes .. no need for microtransactions.
-
So what your telling me is that if I pay money and turn my armor and gun blue I'm now better than everyone else? Because that's the extent of what those packs do outside of war zone And I never said it was OK. Just that it's not pay 2 win.
-
Better gear = better advantage. that's what pay2win is about
-
Yeah I hadn't thought of that. Considering the ability to change the color of my AR gives it a quintuple damage bonus. When your spartan is colored red I heard it allows you to be invincible.

'While you can earn these cards just by playing the game, simply having the ability to purchase REQ packs does have the potential to give certain players an edge in Warzone mode. One of Halo’s strongest points is its balance, placing each and every player on the same footing in a level playing field. Micro-transactions throw this balance off, or at least have the potential to—if only just a bit.'

Educate yourself kind sir
