Three of Coins Does not Work Anymore
Since the last patch regarding the Three of Coins I have received, maybe, one exotic engram. I run Heroics regularly and use a Three of Coins before each fight. I use to get one every third or fourth and sometimes every second fight but not any more. Either the Three of Coins needs reworked or removed and just add the exotic to the loot table in heroics. This is taking up a lot of game time farming for currency to but them and you get nothing to show for it. I have been with the gaming community since beta release and have not been more disappointed. Bungie, I have stuck with you like a bad marriage but something's gotta give. You take our money but you don't listen to gamers like me. Give me then loot chance that you claim is there.

I have used 25 this weekend. Got 3. Meh that's okay. But it was 11 in a row that I got none XD

Keep in mind it's not meant to guarantee an exotic drop, simply increase the chance. Also should note that this was on a mixture of vanguard and legacy strikes (not heroic).

Agreed. I have recieved 4 or 5 exotics from the last 70 or 80 three of coins Ive used. Ridiculous drop rate.

I find it still works for me. What doesn't work is the sheer amount of repeat exotics - I feel it was actually better in year one! Invective x6 Hereafter x5...

Still works. I feel like they've changed it so you've gotta kill a bunch of enemies in between the bosses (perfect for strikes) But I'm probably wrong.

The only thing I've done was pop one coin right before an ultra, never any time other than that. Never skipped unless it was the Psion Flayers or whatever they're called. Guarantee next weekend my luck will be shit and everyone whose luck was crap will get better/frequent drops. I'm satisfied with what I got though lol.

Bungie could have just made when Xur arrives Roll A Dice for 7-10 coins and get a chance of an exotic, that would be more fun to me. I went threw 20 coins last week for one exotic, and I only pop one at the time. later on it was a same helmet, my son got 1 exotic from 17 coins. Each person may have different expericene, but from around 10 exotics different exotics I got, around 6 were same several times (with difference specs). That theory of getting a better chance after popping three of coins, I think bungie should have made at least after 10 coins you are guaranteed an exotic.

1 Reply12 coins for one drop. I didn't even bother buying them this weekend. No elemental primaries, no weapon parts, awful drop rates, everything to do with the first curse... I'm really not a fan of Bungie right now.

Sure it does. I did three strikes and got an exotic helmet and I switched characters and did two strikes and got another exotic helmet. I believe that you just have bad luck.

Sadly I went through 30+ three of coins since a week or two ago. Normally popped one or two at a time and never got anything from them. Not even a stupid blue or green engram. I wasn't even here for the whole exploit either. Never received an exotic from them. It's like rng took a complete dump on me.

1 ReplyI had a dry spell for a couple days but on fri got my exotic sword, bumping me above 300 light. So I've been farming for exotic engrams and I've got 4 out of ten or fifteen 3 of coins. So it still works

1 ReplySpent around 30-35 this weekend pulled 3 chests 2 helmets...........so about 1 in 6 or 1 in 7. There has to be something that works in the background that limits what you get engram wise because it seems I no longer receive weapon engrams. Haven't seen a primary drop since week one

The last 2 weeks I've noticed a huge drop off. Another bungie nerf.....BIG surprise! I'm tired of being a Destiny employee! What happened to the fun?

30 coins over last 5 days 12 exotic engrams and once got a double drop exotic engrams off Ultra Knight. Work fine for me.

Lol, the other day I ran through 15 of them before getting an exotic, it's a bummer man but I could have got none!
