Three of Coins Does not Work Anymore
Since the last patch regarding the Three of Coins I have received, maybe, one exotic engram. I run Heroics regularly and use a Three of Coins before each fight. I use to get one every third or fourth and sometimes every second fight but not any more. Either the Three of Coins needs reworked or removed and just add the exotic to the loot table in heroics. This is taking up a lot of game time farming for currency to but them and you get nothing to show for it. I have been with the gaming community since beta release and have not been more disappointed. Bungie, I have stuck with you like a bad marriage but something's gotta give. You take our money but you don't listen to gamers like me. Give me then loot chance that you claim is there.

2 RepliesI have noticed two things with the 3 of coins. Use it during the fight. Every time I've had an exotic drop, I used a 3oC during the fight. Get the kill. Every time I've had a exotic drop, I made the killing blow. I could be totally wrong, but it seems when I do those two things I get better drops.

On average, every 5 I use I get an exotic...so, that's 14 SC's for 2 Exotics...granted it sucks to have to do that to get Year 2 Exotics of Exotics I already earned and upgraded, but as far as the SC's go, that's not too bad of a deal IMO..

All I'm getting is the faint hope when I see a pale engram drop to be greeted with utter disappointment when I get closer and find its yet another reciprocal rune.....

3 RepliesEdited by RevUncleRukus: 10/26/2015 2:59:38 PMThey work for me, it seems to average every 5 to 7 for me. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Random will be random. But I do agree the repeats are a bit much. How many Jade Rabbits, Hawkmoons and 4th Horsemans do I need?

Ya I have gotten two for the last 40+ toc used. It's basically back to the old days again.

So I have had luck leaving the same coin active on my character for a couple days. I don't know if it was just lucky but the last 2 I used both gave me an exotic drop and they where both on my character for a while.

Used between 8-10 last farming run. Got nothing.

Yeah it feels nerfed. I was getting something before every 5-8 3oC, but now it seems like every 9-15 used. Sigh.. It's not like there are even that many exotics available to get.

Bungie controls and sets 3oC drop rates on the fly. This is also true for pretty much every quality drop in game. They use low quality drops to keep you searching for the next big thing. My Nightfall rewards still suck. Normal raids hardly ever drop anything but 300 Light junk. Strikes and Crucible are just as bad. Hell, even Bungie announced there's a "bug" that's preventing drops from occurring in the Crucible. Arms Day is consistently bad as well. I guess you can hold your orders until next week as long as you don't mind not being able to pick anything else up since you can't put arms day orders in the vault. I could go on and on about things that are designed to keep you playing, but you've all heard this before. It does get tiring. I'm tired of it.

Yesterday I got two exotic engrams out of running 3 strikes. I'd have to say it's nerfed, absolutely but that doesn't mean it's nonfunctional

Ten coins, six exotics. All 310 but one (which actually came from a legendary bump up so....)

I have 16 exotic engrams sitting in my vault from the past week and a half that say otherwise. The rate seems to have dropped a little but they are still a good value for your coins. Get one every 5-10 with the odd extra one sprinkled in.

I get one every so often, but I want bungie to release all the new exotics. I'm tired of getting the same exotics every time.

I used 5 coins yesterday - got nothing on the first four used, on the last one I got a double exotic engram drop

Ive gotten 2 exotics from the last 2 coins I've used. I may be just lucky but I make sure to space out my ultra kills by a significant amount of time.

2 RepliesTry using it before every other fight. If you use it before every fight you might have the problem with not enough time between uses.

I find it doesn't work on heroic strikes. It works well on lvl 36 strikes though
