1 ReplyI tried it for a few weeks going back and forth to no avail. Up to 30% and back down to 0%. My advice is wait for mayhem clash or control to come back around and take advantage of the fast special, heavy, and super regeneration. I got it finished in 4 matches of mayhem clash. My setup was gunslinger hunter with lots of agility and recovery and my weapons were TLW, Still Piercer, and Baron's Ambition. I think I used TLW for maybe 4 or 5 kills and the rest was heavy, sniping and super. Another quick tip is if you end up in a match that you are getting crushed in just un equip TLW so deaths won't count against your score. If it is really rough wait til you pick up heavy or get your super charged and then equip TLW. Good luck and I hope you figure out what works best for you.

I ran around with the last word hip firing is easy... I then got a six man feed with stormtrance... I got it complete in a day.

Just need it equipped. You don't actually need to use it. It's just disappointing it's been nerfed to nothing. They ruined the range, they ruined the stability and accuracy. There is nothing left about last word that is good anymore. Literally all they needed to fix about hand cannons was to nerf thorn DOT and the last word ads glitch. But instead they give a blanket nerf for all hand cannons. Bungie needs to stop doing blanket nerfs to every weapon group when only one or two are overpowered. Sorry rant over. All you need is a ten kill streak to complete this. Just need it equipped you don't need to use it. First I tried rumble bc I thought I needed to use last word. Then I found out I just needed it equipped. What I did was hopped into control with a few people and just camped really hard. I cared less about kills and more about staying alive and I got it done that game. I only had two kills by the time heavy spawned bc I didn't leave my spawn. I was trying to hold down the map so we wouldn't flip spawns. Then heavy came in and I just used my against all odds. Got 7 kills from that and popped my golden gun and I had it done. Try that. It's not all that bad

Its so easy I did it with a sniper and just had last word equipped and got kills with both

Just switch to it at the end of the match if your going to win. It is like 4% for a win

I did 86% of the quest in 2 matches. Finished it before the 3rd match ended. The key was I went on a 20 killstreak and kill streaks boost it sooooo much

Here's some game modes that might help: Mayhem Classic 6v6 Rumble (classic is best) And remember you only need last word [i][b]equipped[/b][/i] when doing it, you can use a shotgun or something else to get the quest step done.

Then dropped to 38% after a few more okay games, still 1+ KD. Then i got on bastion on mars. I got a 18 kill streak and it was done! :0 Killstreaks and headshots jump it up more. I just made sure to keep all shoot outs at close range though i still played pretty passive. I did the classic 6v6 playlist. I figured it would have less try hards (it does). It is so worth it. The chaperone is a beast in PvP. Oh and good luck

I had 86% it went to 0 instantly I couldn't even get to change my gun before It went to 0. If bungie can fix the first step I'll be happy
