How to open most of the chests on the dreadnought
Around the dreadnought there are many chests that we can't initially open. Some require some puzzle solving like the key of scent and the chest that constantly damages you. But for most keys the process is simple. Get a wormsinger rune. I've gotten them from killing hive on the dreadnought. Usually get then from knights (don't have to be majors). Activate it in the many alters in the hull breach. Kill the stalking party of hive that are summoned and the following champion. Pick up the wormfeeder rune off the champions corpse and charge it (50 kills on dreadnought without dying). This rune will turn into a chest key . Then find the chest and enjoy your rewards. You can only hold one key at a time.
Edit: you can hold both a wormsinger and a wormfeeder rune at once. Only the person who summons the hive party looses the wormsinger rune.

1 ReplyYou can get worm feeder runes even if you didn't have a worm singer rune. Same goes for the cabal beacon giving everyone deployment codes. Might not be a 100% drop

4 RepliesI don't know if I am the first to find it but. When you spawn into the Dreadnaught go to the far corner in the right. Do not go down the tunnel to the other side of the ship. When you get there enter a small room that has a hole in the wall. Go through the hole. There are two things in there that I have found. One a thing where you can insert a worm singers rune. The other is a chest that requires a key of Eir. Please tell me if you have found this yet or not.

2 RepliesTo open the chest that damages you. Pull out your sword and do the block with L2. Hold this while walking to the chest and simply open it before you die.

8 RepliesThere was a cool one in the hall of souls, forget which end. But if you walked into the area it would damage your health, and the chest was very slow to open. You had to kill a wizard and clear one of the rooms where you disable the weapon on the first dreadnaught mission, it spawns a relic, take this over to the hole, and now you don't take damage. Open chest. Profit. (Hazy on details. I just was thinking the whole time, "will it work?")

You can open the chest of scent by using the sword block mechanic. That's what I did at least.

I've killed every Knight and wizard in sight on the Dreadnaught all week and I haven't gotten a single one, neither has my friend who I play with daily. The only thing I get is an Agonarch rune from the daily Taken major (literally every single time, even if i got one two minutes ago. I delete them because I already have 3)
