THORN IS TOO HARD
You guys I appreciate that these bounties are meant to be tricky but you have made thorn too difficult . When you look at bad juju it took me along time to get the kills and learn to do crucible which was good I actually enjoyed doing it . But thorn is too hard, the fact you loose points compared to the others where you just have to earn points makes it so difficult for people that aren't very good at PvP
Is it something that needs to be changed?

My k/d is .6 I have only played pvp for exotic bounties. I waited until each char had all three exotic bounties at the pvp stage until I even started. First I did it on my hunter... Blade dancer. Epilogue (after auto nerd) Ldr 5001 void Truth or a void against all odds I played control and defended capture points, (I did not stand on then I stood around them. My KD was .5 I had some good and some bad games... I finished the invective bounty first after around 5-6 matches. Next I finished the thorn and bad juju bounty in. The same match it took a total of around 5-6 hours. Next I did it on my Titan this time as defender Epilogue (again after auto nerf) Ldr void Truth and against all odds void. I played control and used bubbles for defence and armour of light etc... My KD went up to .6 in total it took about 4-5 hours and I finished the thorn bounty 3 matches before the bad juju bounty. Finally I did it on my warlock same scenario... Void walker play defensively and guard around control points. This time I had Word of crota Ldr void Truth or agains all odds void. My KD went up to .68 it took about 3 hours and I finished the thorn bounty about 5 matches before the bad juju bounty. This bounty is doable and is actually quicker to do than the bad juju bounty even with a negative KD. Just be consistent and concentrate.

OR.....you could get 2 mates in a 3 person party,...join rumble....and just keep killing them with void weapons...job done !

1 ReplyWow, heaven forbid you lose points for deaths... You can go a certain negative ratio every game and still get it done.

If you die too often in Control, try to play Combined Arms, much larger maps where you can snipe and use a rocket launcher like Truth.

Dude its really easy, it might take a couple hours or days but if you get at least a .5 kd then it should take under a week to get it

I agree im a 32lvl hunter.I use a scout rifle and as my secondary a fusion.So i have to hit my pray quite a few time to killll anyone but when they only have to hit you once.Well i think we all know the law off averages.And anyway who goes into a fight with a pistol as a main weapon._.Wierd

I suuuuuck at pvp, just look at my stats ...... But I managed to do it in a couple of days..... I used a void shotgun and heavy machine gun but the key was void walker with obsidian mind and bad juju for a primary.....most of my void kills were nova bombs. Good luck!

I recommend usin a void sniper i felt that it was the easiest way , u could use a shotgun but it will be hard competing against the great shottys in the game.Just a reminder try not to look at your bounty card too much that can frusterate u as well justkeep grind ing away until u see that bounty complete.

All you need are three good void base weapons like word of Crota, a void shot gun and either a void rocket launcher or machine gun. Also doing the bounty on you warlock helps as well given void walker. This way all your kills are void damage

I did it in about 2 hours on my warlock and I'm a below average pvper using word of crota, a void her benevolence and corrective measure. use those if you have them and you'll get it soon enough :) Play defensive is the way to go, get some buddies to soften them up if needed and you should have it in no time.

I assume that this on your Warlock. Make sure that you're using the Voidwalker class Looking at your gear Make sure that you equip any special and / or heavy that does Void damage. What other armor do you have? The Purifier Robes do not benefit a Voidwalker. They are meant for the Sunsinger and you're hurting yourself. As others have already pointed - Do Control. Play defensively. Stick with with at least another team member. If you're out manned or outgunned - retreat. If you find yourself getting frustrated - take a break. The bounty won't go away and it's better to chip away than give up completely. If you think that PvP is difficult, wait until you have to do the next leg of the bounty. I've helped a couple friends and it's not a walk in the park. Hopefully this helps

Try word of crota, quick void shotgun and a heavy void machinegun with void. Do control and hang back from the zones, after a while you get the feel of where the less used parts of maps are and which zones people are going for. I struggle with PVP and it helped me

When I first started trying it I got discouraged real quick. Same boat as you. Several matches and basically no points. I looked around online for some tips and tried them out. I found the easiest for me was to load control and kill people at control points and those running from one point to another, also cleaning up my team mates kills. Don't worry about the actual objective, controlling any points or winning the match. Just focus on kills. Make sure to load all void weapons, switch to viod nades if you have them. Within a few matches I got a feel for what I needed to do and was getting 40-70 point a match. I would switch between a void shotty and sniper depending on the map.

1 ReplyI literally did it this morning in under 3 hours. Word of Crota, Matador 64, and the Ash Factory. Only played games of Control and I played them defensively. If anyone can do it, you can do it too Guardian.

You have to work for a gun that is overpowered, just use void weapons and abilities and keep your k/d up, good luck :)
