Dead Thread due to misleading comment, but by all means keep reading if your bord.
I've always wondered why I see more Titans and Warlocks with the Thorn than Hunters and now the answer is clear to me as I am working on that bounty myself.........as a Hunter. Three words, Crucible, Void damage. Kinda sucks that our class doesn't have void built into our subclass like Titans and Warlocks. The only thing we can rely on is our special and heavy wepons and if your K/D sucks like mine, lol, it's almost impossible, but I shall not quite, too old and stubborn for that, baahaahaa! I feel it will be a long road, but any suggestions or tips would be helpful and I know..........don't die too much.
Edit: This isn't a complaint, just what I'm seeing on my end when I play. I know it is possible for Hunters to get it. I've seen a few, but not as much as Warlocks and Titans is all I'm saying.
Edit 2: I know Titans void doesn't mean much to this bounty. I improperly worded what I ment. Please see the first edit. I am not here to be disrespectful to any class.

5 RepliesI wasnt tryn to b a D my friend stated the same fact to me the other day he was lke yea we are about to get our void sub on the hunter i can get my thorn and then they said they are nerfn it around the same time ,so its not going to b worth the trouble it takes to even get the gun ,but thats ok whats next ,we got some new stuff coming

1 ReplyIf you have Truth, use it. If you have Sword Breaker (From Crota's End) Use it. If you have Word of Crota (From Crota's End Hard Mode) Use it. If you have Atheon's Epilouge (From Vault of Glass Hard Mode)...might want to give it a pass. Just use as much void as possible. Pure void load out will eventually net you the finished product. Take it from a Hunter who's done it before.

3 RepliesI did my thorn bounty with a blue void fusion rifle back in the day, back before they were useless. Now you could easily do it with a shotgun. Or get word of crota (CE hard mode is a joke now with a 34 sword bearer). Any reasonable PVP player can get the kill. If every kill you get is with a void weapon you can have a KDR of 0.5 and still get the bounty done.

1 ReplyI didn't have any void primaries because I wasn't as lucky as other people to find Word of Crota or anything like that. I'm horrible at shotguns and using heavy but all I had was Swordbreaker and Admonisher so I shotgun'd and waited for heavy. Took me a really long time, but I completed it. Now my thorn is sitting in my vault, not being used because I feel like it's a crutch.

Then guess what toss on a void sniper or void shotty or void fusion rifle, toss on a void launcher or void LMG, and if you don't suck bawls at crucible you should EASILY be finishing the bounty in 5 to 6 matches. Come on brother get real. Its not hard and not seeing it on hunters for a short period of time is in no way a sizeable statistic for who actually uses it. I see it on more hunters if you ask me. I tend to see less Titans using it than anything, but to each their own. The ONLY thing nobody talks about now is that there are so many people using thorn SOLELY BECAUSE NOBODY SHUTS UP ABOUT THORN COMPLAINING ON FORUMS. All these people think it must be soooooo OP, since everyone cries like little effing girls about thorn. Then you get what I typically see, 3 to 4 Thorn users PER iron banner match who are terrible with handcannons and terrible with thorn...then the match goes as planned and I DESTROY and EMBARASS thorn users with ease using any simple legendary hand cannon and legendary sniper. Last week I ran my iron banner 100% without thorn, and I had my BEST performance by far since Iron Banner started long ago. I ran 2 characters and the entire time used Ill Will handcannon, LDR 5001 with field scout sniper rifle, and BTRD 345 Machine gun the entire time. I think I averaged 2.1 on my warlock for the week and 2.5 on my Titan, just for the weekly averages. Thorn is nothing, stop complaining about people using it. They wanna use it fine, I have NO TROUBLE WHATSOEVER killing any thorn user. Big deal. If you complain about thorn, you're just showing the rest of the crucible community what a whiny terrible player you are.

I did it on my Sunsinger with just a void shotgun. It only took me a day, and that's including the entire bounty. I took my time.

1 Replyso it sounds like you're just trying to complete the third step of the thorn bounty. I think i did use my titan to get mine. That was before i forced myself to use the sniper. Run Praidiths Revenge, swordbreaker, and word of crota. If your not a huge raider you can find a purple shotty from one of the dealers and then just run kamakazie in control. As long as you keep a k/d above 0.4 it will increase. may take a while but the more you play the easier it gets.

Honestly I did mine with tracking rocket launcher and fusion rifle. Feral Spark FR6 if memory serves. Just spray it on Bravo point in Control. You know there will always be people there so light them up
