Just in, New pre-order bonus. If you order a copy of TTK now then you stand a small chance the developers might fix a small portion of the game you already own but they will promise to maybe fix the enormous amount of bugs to come in the new DLC! Also, order now to delete more weapons and gear you don't have room for! As an added bonus Bungie promises yet again to completely avoid any talk about crucible and you can be guaranteed crappy matches throughout your Destiny experience! Be sure to order now so they know they don't have to do their job, they're counting on you!

Why try and start a petition? I'm a little confused here. You can either pre-order and get a bonus as a thanks or you miss out.

I think preordering is a horrible practice but this is stupid. Be smart enough not to preorder but you can't stop people who are ready to throw their money at the screen.

Preorder bonuses are simply a way to generate business. Usually these bonuses aren't game breaking and will become useless at some point. Like take the gamestop exclusive sparrow, you literally got a new one from a story mission that went just as fast. Preorder bonuses are a beneficial tactic to the game industry. It keeps retailers (usually gamestop,best buy) close to the developers. Because for a small box retailer like GS it is huge for us to have a competitive advantage over our competition. We don't sell groceries like target or Walmart, and we don't sell TVs or appliances like best buy. So we need to give folks extra incentive when it comes to preordering with GS , which is why we always try to get the best Preorder bonuses. A preorder shows interest, and intent to buy the game. We even have an expo every year where GS corp and store managers meets with devs and have them show off their games so we have first hand knowledge of gameplay and the product. Though when a dev refuses to show case a game we have nothing to go off of other than what they tell us. Watchdogs is one of those games and honestly I felt betrayed by Ubisoft. (I have huge beefs with Ubisoft for lying about their products mostly WD and AC unity) The gaming industry is high stakes, make or break. Preorders allow retailers the a sense of certainty of future sales and the devs can gauge whether or not the millions of dollars they spent producing a game is going to make or break them. Think back at how many developers have disappeared over the years? THQ, midway,Lucas arts, and there are so many more than that. In the end everyone is out to make a living/money. Everyone wants to stay in business. This is the essence of capitalism at its finest.
