I was thinking of running 35 PoE this week and was looking for some advice. I skipped on the week before (lightswitch) and last week (angry). But now that lightswitch is back again I figured I might as well buckle down and try it. Any tips from guardians who have done it before?

Try to kill most of the adds first At 75% of health hit him hard with rockets Most important - have a plan when mines come out.

Have 2 defenders

Edited by UpF1st: 7/22/2015 2:56:57 AMLight switch is back? It says Trickle & Small Arms for Skolas. Best (most calm) way to beat him is manage the adds and slowly burn him using only primary or secondary weapons. After the first set of mines is cleared get the adds down then find a spot where you can safely unload all rockets on him w/ heavy synth ready and kill him before second set of mines. Once he's dead any adds that appeared as you killed him vanish. Dismantle mines and get your loot.

I think Skolas has small arms this week so just use your primary because it will do most damage. Keep rotating if there is too much happening or Skolas is near you. Watch out for the captains and make sure you kill all the ads before damaging Skolas.

1 ReplyCommunicate and know the strategy. It's all about everyone on the team communicating

1 ReplyI'm not a blowhard or boastful person. No git gud from me. But really, 35 isn't hard. Just do the normal strategy with two others that know how to communicate and get it done.

2 RepliesTo be honest doing 35 is pointless. The time to do it is one thing but when you get your rewards or loots it's just not worth it. Especially when I have 10 of each weapon and armor cores. With all that said I would recommend do it 1 time that is good enough. Good luck!!!

1 ReplyStart out going to left side. Break bond and hammer skolas. Move to right side ledge kill adds and break bond again, kill more adds. At 60% health mines start move as group to dismantle. Kill more adds shoot skolas kill more adds shoot skolas kill more adds rotating if need be. Now at 25% health mines start again. Here comes a big choice dismantle mines or try to burn skolas down. With light switch on and small arms watch out for the sword captians. They will keep running through a shotgun shot so kill from a distance. Good luck use team work and it wont be hard.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 7/22/2015 12:01:47 AMHave a competent team with hard-hitting 365-damage primaries. Don't be afraid to run laps around the arena to scatter enemies and get some breathing room. Clear the adds first. Make sure your teammates announce when their essence timer is at 10 seconds or less.

1 ReplyDo whatever it takes to stay alive and keep that essence relay up!

3 RepliesDon't bother. Poor rewards and very frustrating.
-
1 ReplyJust keep rotating and dont take stupid risks. Keep close apart from on the mines. 2 stay together and 1 go to furthest away mine and the other 2 can assist on the other 2 mines. Rotating is the key point though. Dont get stuck

1 ReplyHaving just done it my first time two days ago, it's still in my head. My team was a Titan and two hunters, but we kind of barely used supers or invis. Mostly our problem was panic and then separating. Once we got used to the encounter and trading off the poison and just moved together as a team we made. We did designate one of us (me) to captain duty. As such, a big scary arc shotgun is your best friend. Found Verdict is awesome. I rolled a Felwinter with Luck in the Chamber, flared magwell and crowd control which just put those guys down right quick. Communication and a bit of patience is the key. Just don't give up. But with light switch, well, maybe give up. Just keep everything at a distance.

1 ReplyHave a hunter ready to go invis and deal with the mines, and a warlock ready to die and then self-revive with the poison while the hunter is dealing with the mines to extend the timer on the poison so everyone can get back on the right side platform. Generally the main strategy I was told. And have people take the poison from each other once the timer hits 10 seconds.

1 ReplySimply take out any major threats like Captains and Wire Vandels asap. Focus fire with primairies, scout rifle is probably best choice. MIDA or the Fang works well. Further it's the same as any other 35. Mines > Taint > adds > Skolas.

3 RepliesEdited by mpuchar: 7/21/2015 10:12:35 PMBest advice I can give for 35 POE is get the armor. The POE armor is clutch. Especially the helmet and vest. They grant a huge boost to armor and recovery. Try to get a whole set for each enemy, especially the fallen themed armor. (The increase is equal to "ward of dawn"'s armor of light, which is an 85% increase to armor for the entire round. (Just make sure to equip in airlock, or before) When you get to skolas, load out with your best arc primary (fatebringer works for me), an arc shotgun for the captains, (preferably found verdict) and your best rl. (I don't even start using rockets until he is at 25% health. At that point i make sure my fireteam has 7 rockets ready to go, along with a full synth. Unload.) At skolas, ad control is the most important part, slowly dps'ing him along the way. Once the bonds are broken, the poison will appear. Stay close together and pass it with less than 10 seconds left. If someone has to split up for mines, let it be the person that is immune. Communication is key, cycle between point A and point B when it starts getting too crowded. I cannot even begin to stress how helpful a full set of fallen poe armor can be. Do not waste your armor cores on judgement packages! Buy the armor if you don't already have it! Good luck
