Edited by Tross: 7/20/2015 3:02:43 AMThere are two theories about life outside of earth Either we are alone Or we aren't Both are equally terrifying

Our sphere of influence is ridiculously small. That's terrifying and embarrassing. We should just cease to exist.
-
Sir, that's not a black hole.
-
The fact that it is still unknown what is the sort of barrier/end of the universe
-
1 ReplyThe theory on whether we're alone in the universe or not. There's always the possibility that any extraterrestrial species looks at us, and deems us unintelligent and violent. Oh, and black holes.
-
The unknown, it's a phenomenon that intrigues, yet scares us all.

5 RepliesEdited by LiamCDM: 7/19/2015 11:06:53 PMThe fact that there are near endless ways the Earth and humanity itself could be completely obliterated. I'm not scared of death, per se, but what I am scared of, is our species, our culture and our existence being wiped clean from the universe.

Edited by AstroSloth: 7/20/2015 2:01:43 AMNone of it really scares me, but the possibility that we're the only intelligent life in the universe right now intrigues me. We could be the only to ever exist, the first, or the last. Or maybe there are alien races too far away for us to ever reach them. Also, how the universe is thought to be infinite. The pure concept of infinity is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, for the human mind to comprehend. An actual material thing shouldn't be able to be infinite

In space, no one can hear you scream.

The fact that it is endless, and that we will never explore everything, for example, there could be a planet that is just like earth, with all the same people and stuff going on...

It doesn't end

It's super lethal. Let's explore it!

The probability that there is other forms of life out there that humanity may never actually encounter. And the possibility that we may be all there is.
