After everyones feedback, I have changed the topic name, and adjusted a few things. Please all remember I am just highlighting the truth, and if you look at the forums, the are tonnes of video's of people using exploits etc, and I am NOT whining either. I just want Bungie / Deej to see all of this, and everyone's replys/videos so that they can actively work banning people and building an automatic banning system AND/OR when a team has been F* out of flawless due to one of these (ignore Xim 4), it shouldn't count as a loss, the auto system should simply just return both teams to orbit, No Win or Loose for either team because the system has detected something dodgy. Trials needs fixing, please post all the video's of your own experiences, and AGAIN, if you went flawless LEGIT, then honestly, congratulations, because not only have you won, you've also managed to either dodge the cheaters, or beat them. But in a few weeks time it will be interesting to see who still has the flawless emblem, and who has it removed, because if you were part of a team and DIDNT know that one of your team was cheating, you will most likely be stripped of your winnings, and the guy that essentially f* you over will be banned. 1. XIM4 - People are using mouse + keyboard to play Destiny on Console. *Note: I have now changed the title of the topic, it is still a vague area in whether or not using a mouse and keyboard is: - Giving someone an upper hand - Against Bungie's Ts and C's (If you read them, it's quite ambiguous) - Therefore I am going to flag this one as simply "Some people use Mouse and Keyboard, whether or not that gives them an advantage or not is debatable. 2. Modded Controller - Google 'Extreme-mods' or similar. Enjoy your new auto-fire. 3. Lag Switching - You can either buy one, or build one. Basically, you attach the striped orange cable inside an ethernet cable to a physical switch, and when you want god mode, hide in a corner, flick the switch, go kill everyone and then flick it off again. 4. DDoSing - Rare, but easy to pull off. Use Wireshark to capture all the packets on your network, apply filters, when you play trials you get a P2P connection with the host and you can find their IP, then slam their ports (pref the ones used by each console) with massive amounts of data. Booted to orbit, or if you have skills, take out their internet completely. 5. Match manipulation - Bungie have already started banning people for this. Pretty simple, whilst the game is matching you, quickly inspect the other team, if you see 3 * 34's with flawless, cancel the match making. 6. Console crashing - Similiar to DDoSing, flood their with data forcing the RAM to max out. Console now needs rebooting and potentially a system rebuild / file check. I have not gone flawless - feel free to inspect me, I don't do any cheating on games what so ever, my job IRL is pentesting systems. The sad thing is this is the truth, people cheat, more than you know, and congratulations to those who went flawless without cheating, and going against these idiots. Edit #1 - On MLG proper tournaments XIM4 is NOT aloud. Is it cheating? Debatable, but you have definately got the upper hand. Edit #2 - Look at how many people are already defending XIM4. Your playstation didnt come with a keyboard and mouse, OR natively supports it. Open your eyes people, 1v1 Controller vs Mouse - You aint gonna win. Edit #3 - Scuff controllers are aloud in tournaments etc, so they are not cheating, however they do give players a slight upper hand. Credits to T3hdave. Edit #4 - To those reporting me for outlining these 'cheats/exploits' - those that use them (not XIM4 / Scuff), WILL GET A PERMANENT BAN and give Bungie more statistical data so they can build an automatic detection system like Steam has. All I have done is tell the community the truth. Hopefully this will now open everyone's eyes as to what is actually going on. I won't be replying now - call me a n00b, script kiddie, scrub or whatever. Look at peoples comments, look at the two video's I've posted, OPEN YOUR EYES. In the short term, yes, I have told people what tools they are using - which will lead to some people now utilizing them. THUS THEY WILL BE BANNED AND GIVE BUNGIE MORE STATISTICAL DATA TO MAKE AN AUTOMATIC SYSTEM LIKE VALES ANTI CHEAT!!!!! Again, Congratuations to all those who went flawlessly and legit, If you have not ran into any cheaters yet then you've been REALLY lucky, the forums/reddit etc are not exploding without a reason. Yes lag exists, but you can tell the difference between the lag switchers and the dial-ups. Enjoy trials, I hope you don't face any of these cheats/exploits - is XIM4 a cheat? no. Did PS4 natively support it? NO. Does Destiny natively support it? Can you change your keyboard keys in the settings? NO. Good luck out there guardians.
