Elder Ciper bounty STILL STUCK with Variks
Come on Bungie. I've had this elder cipher a bounty for 2 1/2 weeks and it still stuck on Variks. I haven't received another elder side for bounty even though I've done others 35s and I can't select the weapon so I can't even start this bounty. Pain in the rear. Regardless, I love Destiny - you all built an awesome game. Keep it up but please fix this if you can.

Same with me. Just stopped playing Prison of Elders (just the odd game) until its fixed, no real point.

However i have the feeling the game would recognize that we already have one so the chances of getting another are slim. I would be interested to know if others players have had 2 Elder Cyphers on the one character, at the same time.

I have the same problem on my Titan & Hunter since a few days. I cannot select a weapon under Variks ! Did some runs on 32 & 34 to get a cypher but no luck. Never go into arena 35 when bounties & special weapon inventory is full! I hope it will be fixed or resetted after the weekly reset tomorrow.

My bounties weren't full so it let me choose a gun straight away. But my other 2 bounties were full so apparently that's why I can't choose a gun until they patch it. Bs dude. Add I've killed skolas since and opened a 34 and 35 chest since and still stuck. Nearly a week now.

Fn RNG. Mine dropped on a 34 after we beat Skolas the game b4. Then Variks was ready the next day and I got my bow that day. RNG is a fickle one

I think I'm stuck in as well. I got the elder cipher and then went back and opened 4 more chests 32,34x2,35 and still have not gotten the queens cipher.

I knew that didn't make sense so I did abit of reading on it... Truth is, if most people looked at the description of the cipher ( after you try to turn the cipher into Variks ) it updates and says you need to get the [u]Queens Cipher to fix the broken elder cipher.[/u]. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdzDsrIykG4 Check out video link above and stop it at 40 seconds when he high-lights the 2nd elder cipher which says: Return Queens Bounty to Variks It is an apparent RNG thing as is most of destiny, most other people after reading about it found the Queens cipher on level 32 arena chest ( post beating boss ) opening treasure chests below... So stock up on some keys and keep opening the chests till you get it...

I've been where you've been, there is literally no notification or anything saying that it's completed. I read somewhere that it takes about three days in real world time for it to complete charging or whatever, just go to the Reef, check with Variks, if he has that thing hangin over his head he's probably done wih it

4 RepliesWhen I completed a 35 skolas with my mates I got an elder cipher, but had all my slots filled with bounties and such. I'm thinking this some how glitched out the cipher because variks has the weapons for me to choose, but it won't allow me to push A and select any. It also says to go open a chest in an arena activity. I did this and it still doesn't allow me to progress. Any help?

Edited by Tastykake: 6/14/2015 11:55:16 PMme and my friend had gotten summoned exactly three days, then i got my second one after 2 1/2 days then my other friend got his the exact next day after turning in the second part and we was like wow i told him when he turn it in he had to wait a long time then the next day it was finished so now he got to get 1000 points but hope bungie fixes it to the current and future people so you can wait at least a day or 2 instead of waiting on rng to see if he is ready

Is it that you just can't see the selection? If so just click where you think the icon is. I've this problem and this solved it. Tell us if it does or doesn't work
