Ban shotties in IB?
Hello,
So recently I was fighting Crota when my friend brought up an interesting topic:
Ban Shotguns In IB so its a real fight.
Now everyone knows that in Crucible and Iron Banner, every time you look in the kill feed, it show either shotgun, Fusion rifle, grenade, or melee. People who are trying to be legit and not be a scrub and not using slideshotties are getting annoyed because they are trying to earn loot and having fun while its ruined by slideshotties.
Now, I don't mind AT ALL when people use shotties how they are meant to be. It gets stupid when people are slide then shotgun because you are basically unstoppable.
Here's another thing he brought up:
Blink & Shotguns.
The point of a shotgun is to get up close then shoot because you are taking the risk of running up to a guy to kill them while avoiding death.
Nope! Not with blink! Just blink behind the guy and squeeze the trigger!
Honestly, I think there should be a delay between blink'ing and using a shotgun.
So discuss what you think of my friends opinions.

I want them to ban whiners who post a complaint that would involve immense amounts of work, upsetting tons of players, just because the player base has found something that works for them. Guess what: if you get kills with a shotgun, then go for it! That's literally the point of crucible, kill other players. Do it anyway you can. If you're going up against shot gunners, then you gotta adapt. You can't expect people to follow your "honor" code. That's stupid.

I've already accepted that blink/shotgun is part of the game. I've learned to deal with it. [spoiler]Killing a blink/shotgunner is always great. You can almost hear their 128mb brain struggling to process that they just got outplayed at their own game.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyOver my course of playing crucible I will say one thing, if you let a shotgun get in range and your not using one its your fault. If you run a sniper or fusion and get shotgunned it's your fault for letting them close. [spoiler]hate incoming, I don't even use shotguns yet understand this[/spoiler]

3 RepliesHave you tried sliding and firing a shotgun? Have you tried blinking and firing a shotgun? If the answer is no to either, I'd suggest giving it a try. It's not as easy as it looks, and it's not as cheap as people make out. I'm not saying it takes mad skill to do it, but it does take a bit of timing and practice. Shotguns are in the game, deal with it.

1 ReplyWhere to begin. ...first of all...it is very fun to shot gun someone in the face or bit's[spoiler][/spoiler] of the head...especially some jamoke looking down his scope all day...now as to your evaluation of the skill of said tactics....as with anything else...there are people that are good asend bad at it, just like there are good and bad snipers. In fact one could argue that due to the fact that said play style is more risky than say hanging back halfway across the map with a scout/sniper that it actually takes more skill to consistently go positive playing in this manner. As to the not shooting directly out of blink. .....bladedancers have a perk called Quickdraw, which makes weapons ready IMMEDIATELY. ...this perk works when switching weapons and coming out of sprint....I assume it is the reason for this as well
