I can't imagine The Prison of Elders being easy.
I'm assuming it will still be as difficult as a raid.

9 RepliesI'm glad they are adding a 3 player horde mode. But I am not happy that the raid is coming at a later date. I'm still excited for more content because I feel like with CE I finally got enough content for the first $60. But considering I spent $90 for the digital guardian edition I want that last $30 worth of content yet and I have a sneaking suspicion that they are planning on charging us for the next content download. Which means HOW needs to be a massive DLC but how can it be if they don't even have a raid?

It sounds wonderfully refreshing to not have to find six people to do some complex raid. I think Prison of Elders will be my new relaxed grinding activity.

I'm butthurt because from the small amount of info they've given us, it seems they've largely done away with pve. All they ever make progress on is buffing and needing the weapons that the crucible players cry about. Does the sword still disappear? Yes. Does VOG still run off of a dial up connection? Yes. I LIKE puzzles and pve tactics. I have been PRAYING for them to make up for the crota raid, and all they did was kick me while I'm down

2 RepliesIt's a 3 man deal... Can't be that difficult... This is a thinly veiled effort to get people to buy the raid that they thought they had already bought... Seems to be Bungie's M/O these days... Promise one thing, deliver another, and if you want what you thought you were getting, you can have it, but it will cost you.

2 RepliesI'm not against the whole new mode. By problem is why couldn't they have both? Example New raid to get to level 34 Use that 34 gear in the arena to earn max level gear if Max was 36 Is it that hard?

Because its taken almost a year to fix obvious errors, glitches, and its been shown that bungie is charging more and more for less. You're probably just trying to sway the overwhelming opinion because u probably already paid for the expansion pass.

Would be more enthusiastic if the arena was 6 players instead of 3, would of been more of a replacement for the raid but right now seems like something lesser. Other the then that I fux with horde modes(gears of war, Call of duty: zombies, Transformers: escalation). Feels like the game needed something different.

2 RepliesI think the biggest problem with "No raid" will be that people will be playing the same old raids even though a new DLC is already released. So once we do all weekly stuff we can do in How we will go back to CE and VoG for the rewards.

Just because a mission isn't specifically labeled "RAID" doesn't mean it can't be a fun, challenging co op mode with some cool rewards. I will reserve judgement until more info is announced. People are too caught up in it not being specifically a "raid" that they forget other things can be fun too.

5 RepliesBump. No raids? I'm happy with that! Do you know how boring raids are for me now? There's barely any challenge at all. The only challenge is overcoming the glitches. I've recently taken up swordbearing (which is the most fun I've had since starting the game). For those who say they don't like it because there's no raid, they don't know if the "arena" whatever is better than the same, repetitive story mission. It's lame. I like "arena". Maybe the PvE players will finally get some skill and catch up to us PvP players.
