On hard mode the raid helm plays in effect when crota gets enrage you get a buff and those couple of seconds matter especially when people start lagging or don't shoot rockets but I personally don't care what gear people wear

No. You get a damage increase when oversoul gaze is active. That is only useful when someone dies and causes one to appear. While Crota rages, the oversoul does happen, but you should be shooting Crota and not the oversoul. On hard, two gallys is still two without the helmet. Honestly, the helmet has a very minimal effect UNLESS it's the health regen raid helmet. There are two different ones.

I guess you're right but I've saved some clips from being swordbearer on HM and when the oversoul was active I inflicted more damage on crota with my raid helm on. Maybe it's just me

Well, then it's useful for swordbearer but that's not all situations.
